Not a Valentine Card by Niccole

Hello everyone!

It's Niccole from Nic & Viv Designs back again to share another card I made using one of The Rabbit Hole Designs new stamp sets.

For today's card I used the Sassy Sentiments - Anti Valentine stamp set and the Circle Illusion stencil.

How to create this card:

  • White A2 card base
  • Stamp repeatedly with your Misti the heart from the Sassy Sentiments - Anti Valentine  stamp set on the right side vertically  Copic color and set aside
  • Add Glitz Gel in three colors to a piece of gray card stock with the Circle Illusion stencil
  • Let dry
  • Trim panel and apply to left side of card base
  • Add a thin strip of black card stock to incorporate the two pieces together
  • Add black Nuvo drops randomly to hearts
  • Stamp sentiment from Sassy Sentiments - Anti Valentine stamp set to thin strip of white card stock
  • Cut a banner end to one side of sentiment strip
  • Add sentiment strip to card with foam tape
Here is one more picture of the full card ...
What do you think of the change from red to black with the Glitz Gel?  I really love how it turned out.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Good morning everyone, Lisa here from the DT!

I'm so excited because tomorrow starts the New Release Reveal
for The Rabbit Hole Designs and I'm anxious to share all of the
new products with you.  I have been busy creating lots of cards
to show you and you are going to love the new release!

As for today I have one more card to share with you using the
Love You More - Christmas Frost stamp set from this month's release.
I just love this sweet couple, they epitomize the family fun that everyone
looks forward to on the holidays! Whether it's decorating the tree or lighting
the menorah, holidays are meant for family!

Card Recipe

For today's card I started out with a piece of smooth cardstock and
the Diamond Flower Stencil.  I taped the stencil down and blended
some Tattered Rose Distress Ink over it getting lighter at the edges.

I colored that sweet couple with some watercolor pencils, cut
them out and popped them up over the stenciled pattern.
I stamped a sentiment in the top right corner from the
Hoggy Holidays stamp set in black ink.

Lastly I added a scalloped border with some glittered cardstock
and used the same cardstock to cut out a star for the tree.

I am so pleased with how this card came out and apparently so was my
mom because she snatched it up to give to a friend.
It makes me so happy when she gives my cards away!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and make sure
to check back tomorrow for the December New Release!
There will be lots of fun, inspiration and as always
an awesome giveaway!

Have a great day, I already am!

Merry Christmouse!!!

Hey everyone! It's Amanda W taking over today! Thanks for joining me and checking out this fun Merry Mousemas Christmas card! It's been years since I made a braided edge card and thought it would be fun to bring back.

Once my card base was created, I stenciled snowflakes from the new Light Me Up stencil all over the background. I stamped, colored, cut out and popped up my mouse in the middle and heat embossed my sentiment. Then added a second heat embossed sentiment strip below that.

For finishing touches on this card I added Wink of Stella to the hat, ornament and sentiment strip. Then glossy accents to the ornament, mouse's nose and belt buckle.

Isn't he so cute!!! Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?

Mousemas Globe

Hello again, it's Amanda from Pear Blossom Press, back with another fun Christmas card! Recently, I went to the post office to mail a card I'd made. It was a little chunky with several layers of foam tape. It turned out, my card was so thick, the lady told me it was actually a package. And it cost $4 to mail it!!! In an effort to avoid high postage costs, I decided to put my cards on a diet this winter. (If my cards are on a diet, can I say I've kicked off the obligatory diet resolution early?)

For today's card, I wanted to try out a flat shaker. Instead of a traditional shaker that has foam tape between the front window and the back of the card, a flat shaker is just a clear plastic pocket with a small amount of filler. Since there isn't a lot of space between the front and back, the filler should be fairly flat too (like glitter or sand), and it won't be able to move as freely as it would in a regular shaker.

To start, I stamped, embossed, and Copic colored an adorable mouse from Merry Mousemas. Then, I trimmed it to fit behind a silver die cut snow globe. To make the shaker pocket, I traced along the inside edge of my die with a Fuse Tool on an empty cellophane package, leaving an opening at the bottom. Then, I added a few pinches of glitter and sealed it up.

I sandwiched the glitter pouch between the stamped image and the silver cutout. Fully assembled, it is only as thick as two pieces of cardstock.

I stenciled snowflakes from the Light Me Up Stencil onto a pink card base. Then it was time to stick the snow globe to the card. Now, since I made it flat on purpose, you'd think I would have glued it down flat to the card, right? Well, it just felt a little too plain. So I popped it up with a layer of foam tape. (Lol, and now I'm cheating on another diet...) It's still thinner than some shaker cards I've made. And to be honest, it would have been very difficult to get a foam layer thin enough to hide under the silver edge of the globe.

Have you ever made a flat shaker before? Let me know in the comments below. If you'd like to see another card featuring the Merry Mousemas Stamp Set, check this out. You can find more inspiration and links to the specific products I used on my blog. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back soon with another fun card.
