Glimmer Trees and a Goodbye

Hello everyone!
It's Lisa here with you today from Oh So Cute By Lisa and I have some news to share with you. This will be my last post for The Rabbit Hole Designs design team. I have had the pleasure of watching this company grow since the beginning and I wish them continued success in the future!

For my last post on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog I have a Christmas card using the brand new Slice of Christmas stencil and the previously released Love You More - Christmas Frost stamp set and Candy Twist stencil.

I just love the whimsical trees in the stencil and I thought that they should be the main focus on my card. For the background I wanted a soft and pretty pattern so I took some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and the brand new Cotton Tail Blending Brushes and applied the ink over the Candy Twist stencil. I used a very light hand to give the background a soft patterned look.  The next step was to place the Slice of Christmas stencil over the background and apply some Nuvo Glacier Paste in Golden Era over the middle tree and Sea Sprite glacier paste over the two outside trees. I just love the elegant and shimmery look it gave to the trees.

For the sentiment I made a smaller piece of the stenciled background and heat embossed the sentiment from the Love You More - Christmas Frost stamp set in gold. I placed the sentiment panel and the background panel on to some pretty patterned paper to make them stand out. The scalloped panel on the card base was cut using a scalloped rectangle die.
I wanted a little extra sparkle on my card so I added in some pretty sequins all over!

Thanks for joining me today for my last Rabbit Hole post!

Feliz Naughty Dog

Hello TRHD friends! Amy here and I’m excited to share with you a card that I made with the Pawlidays stamp set from the July 2020 Release!

You guys, how stinkin' cute is this stamp set?!?! I can't get enough of the naughty dogs. I am a dog owner myself and I have witnessed the look of guilt and shame when a dog is caught in the act of some naughty doggy shenanigans! It's almost human-like sometimes!

For this card I decided to switch things up. As you may know this isn't the complete stamp that I used for the card. With some masking I was able to completely change the look of the stamp and use it in a new way. I masked off the dog (that wasn't caught in the tree lol) and used him as the focal point on this card. I watercolored him in with my real brush markers and die cut him out in a circle to give him some separation from the busy background. For the background (directly on the card base), I used the Candy Twist Stencil and ink blended with some festive colors to match. I white heat embossed one of the amazing sentiments and popped it up as well to provide dimension and finish the card.

You can find these 2 products and many more here. And also don't forget about the brand new Cotton Tail Blending Brushes that are part of this July 2020 release. They are featured in my picture. These brushes blend like a dream and they even have the cute little TRHD bunny logo on the handle! You can't beat the price on these babies either!

Christmas is... Creating a fun and easy stenciled background.

Hello Rabbit Hole Design Fans! Today I am sharing this fun winter card called "Christmas is..."  using the Slice of Christmas stencil to create a frosty striped background with the Love You More - Christmas Frost stamp set.

I stamped the image  of this couple in the middle of  holiday shopping a on to a piece of 4" x5 1/4" white cardstock. I colored the image with Triblend alcohol markers.  I masked of the image with a  scalloped circle cut from cardstock.

I used speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink , a Cotton Tail blender brush and the snow drift from the Slice of Christmas stencil to create a organic striped background.  I splattered a few taps of Bubble Gum Silk to add small specks  of color to the card front.  I removed the scalloped circle mask and stamped  the "All I want for Christmas is you" Sentiment at the top of the card.  I tied a white organza ribbon in to a bow and secured it to the top  of the card just under the sentiment.  I attached the Card front to a Pink A2 Card base to complete the card.

Here are The Rabbit Hole Design products used in this card:

Thank you so much for stopping by The Rabbit Hole Designs Blog today.  I hope you enjoyed this easy to stencil card featuring the Slice of Christmas stencil and the Love you More - Christmas Frost stamp setI love hearing from you. Winter Wonderland

Hello everybody. Today I have this fun wintery scene using The Rabbit Hole Designs Kringle stamp set on white felt. The lines on the trees reminded me of felt stitching so I used that idea to create my holiday card. I wanted it to have a the look of an old fashioned wall hanging. hanging.

I started out by creating my sky background blending Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire on a white piece of cardstock. I then used a white gel pen to create the snow flakes.

Next, I stamped three tree images onto felt using Gina K Amalgam ink in Obsidian then fussy cut them out. Using a hill die from my stash I die cut the snow hill out of the felt and used a black micro pen to go over the stitch lines so they stand out. I adhered the hill and the trees onto the sky background using liquid glue. I created a frame out of grey cardstock using a die from my stash. I cut out two frames and stacked them together to give it more height when compared to the felt. I also cut an A2 stitched scallop panel from snowflake pattered paper and adhered my "picture" to it. Finally, I backed that with a grey A2 panel and adhered it to my white A2 card base.

I hope you enjoy this different holiday scene and give stamping on felt a try. Happy Crafting!

Lauren
