Gotta Get That Candy!

Hi Crafters! Amy here and I’m excited to share with you a bright and colorful card that I made with the Spellcaster stamp set from the August 2020 Release at The Rabbit Hole Designs.

Aren't these witches from the release just so fabulous?

For the focal point I stamped out the witch and her cauldron with a water proof ink. I used my water brush markers to color them in and fussy cut them out and set them aside. I don't have the coordinating dies but they are available for sale on the website and they would definitely be handy to have.

On the background I took an A2 size panel of my card stock and ink blended some purple ink with the amazing new Cotton Tail Blending Brushes. These are my favorite blending brush and I find myself always reaching for them because they blend so well. I then stamped some of the smaller images from the stamp set in black all around the ink blended background to give it some more interest.

For the vellum, I ended up using the dry embossing technique with my platform die cutter and the awesome Dotted Flower stencil from TRHD. This gave the vellum some cool texture and further added to the design. I scored the side of the velum and created a crease so that I could attach the vellum on the back side of the panel without the adhesive showing.

I then cut out a banner shaped piece of card stock and did some more ink blending and used the dotted flower stencil again to tie in that design element further with the rest of the card. Then I chose one of the sentiments and stamped that on the prepared banner.

All that was left was to assemble the pieces on the card panel which I did with some foam tape for dimension. I attached the panel to an A2 sized card base and that completes this fun and sassy Spellcaster witch card.

I hope that you enjoyed this card and found some inspiration. Be sure to check out all the items from the new release as well as all the other fabulous products that The Rabbit Hole Designs carries. You can follow this link HERE to see their whole product line.
