Heart Dance

Good morning everyone! It's Amanda W joining you today with this sweet Valentine card featuring the new Love You More - Heart Dance stamp set. This couple is just so sweet and coincidentally kind of make a heart shape with their dance pose. ;)

To make this card I stamped the open heart cluster from the set in pink all over the card front and die cut a heart shape out. Then I backed it with iridescent vellum and put a sentiment strip across it.

Then I made a mini card for the inside and stamped my couple in the center and colored them with copic markers. I glued this to the inside of my regular A2 card so the couple shows through the window. I just love how this looks!

With it structured like this you get the pretty vellum window, the full image and still have room to write your love note to that special someone.

Bow Love

Hello again! It's Amanda W. taking over the blog today with this fun, clean and simple Valentine card.

I was inspired by another crafter who did two versions of the same card a while ago - one was in full color and the other was simple and just the outline. This is something that I never do and was excited to try.

I heat embossed my bows in black and painted one that stood out to me with gold watercolor. I took the same watercolor and flicked it on a red panel. Then heat embossed love in black on the bottom right corner. I popped the red panel on a black card base and popped the bows up with foam squares.

The shine of the embossing and the shimmer of the metallic watercolor make this clean and simple card just a little bit more. It catches your eye and is just striking. I love this color combo!

Merry Christmouse!!!

Hey everyone! It's Amanda W taking over today! Thanks for joining me and checking out this fun Merry Mousemas Christmas card! It's been years since I made a braided edge card and thought it would be fun to bring back.

Once my card base was created, I stenciled snowflakes from the new Light Me Up stencil all over the background. I stamped, colored, cut out and popped up my mouse in the middle and heat embossed my sentiment. Then added a second heat embossed sentiment strip below that.

For finishing touches on this card I added Wink of Stella to the hat, ornament and sentiment strip. Then glossy accents to the ornament, mouse's nose and belt buckle.

Merry Pigmas!

Hey everyone! It's Amanda W taking over the blog today! Thanks for joining me with this super fun Merry Pigmas card. I'm just loving the fun new Christmas release, aren't you? So many different images to create that perfect holiday card for so many people in your life.

For this card I took a red panel and embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder and then used Wink of Stella glitter brush on top of the raised snowflakes. Then I added a strip of plaid paper down the middle and edged it with silver strips to offset it. I stamped, colored and cut out my piggy, popping him up on a teal circle and also popped the circle up on the plaid panel. I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment and cut it into a banner shape popping it up as well. I love what interest all the dimension gives cards.

Finishing touches on this card were very simple, just adding more Wink of Stella on the white parts of the hat and Santa suit. You can see in this close up picture how much glimmer that really gives him. It's super fun!

Today I'm sharing this super fun interactive caffeinated reindeer card! I used the candy twist stencil on the background, assembled my card, stamping and heat embossing my sentiment at the bottom. Then I built my wreath, added a vellum circle behind it and adhered my reindeer. Then gluing just the bottom part to the card front so the mechanism still moves I lined up my stamp and added a sentiment to the inside too.

I plan to add a Starbucks gift card to the inside of this, which fits perfectly inside the opening.

Hello everyone! It's Amanda W taking over today. Thanks for stopping by to check out this super fun light up Caffeinated Owl card. This was my first attempt at a light up card and with the help of my friend Amanda at Pear Blossom Press, it was super easy and I'm excited to try it again.

Here's how I did it:

Die cut a circle from a white panel and set the circle aside.
Ink blended the main panel like a night sky, splattered with water and gold watercolor. Then layered vellum behind the opening.
Next ink blended the circle yellow for a moon...or sun, whichever you prefer. This was glued directly to my card front.
Stamped, colored and cut my owl and die cut a branch for him to sit on. Using my images as a guide I also stamped and heat embossed "push here" where the button would be hiding.
At this point I laid out and glued my light and circuitry down. Check out Pear Blossom Press for info on that.
After that was glued down I popped my sky panel up with double-layer foam tape and glued my branch and owl directly to it.
I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment, cutting it into a strip and popping it up with foam squares.

Here's a look at it all lit up! It's so fun!!! My whole family keeps playing with it. I think this owl might be my favorite in the caffeinated critter collection. Thank you so much for joining me today. I'll chat with you again soon.

Therm-o-Web Mermaid Hair

It's Amanda W and I'm really excited to be back today with another collab card featuring The Rabbit Hole Designs and Therm-O-Web products! It's so fun to use them together. Today I'm going all out GLITZ and GLITTER!!!

Here are the details:

Ink blend Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers Distress inks and then adhered my Candy Twist Stencil with Pixie Spray. Then I covered the stencil with Glitz Glitter Gel in white.
While that was drying I pulled out Mermaid Hair and stamped, colored and cut out my images.
Then die cut my frame from white cardstock 4 times and glued them together.
Last I stamped my sentiment in green ink and cut it apart so I could scatter it in the card design.
For assembly I adhered my background glitter panel to the card front, then my frame with liquid glue because of the glitter texture and finally my images and sentiments were adhered with foam squares.
Finishing touches on this card were Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the mermaid tail and fish. You can never have too much glitter when mermaids are involved!

Here's a closer look. Look at all that shimmer! This card is absolutely stunning in the light! The colors bounce off the glitter gel and it's so eye catching! The fun and whimsy of the whole card is fabulous!

Gourd-geous Therm-o-Web Collab

Hey everyone, it's Amanda W and I'm super excited to share this fun card using both The Rabbit Hole Designs and Therm-o-Web products!

Fall is my favorite time of year so I immediately grabbed Gourd-geous! from the September release and started coloring.

Here are the details:

Using Pixie Spray, I adhered my Deco Foil Starburst Stencil to my cardstock and covered it with Champagne Mist Metallix Gel.
While that was drying I stamped, colored and cut my pumpkin from Gourd-geous!
I took the largest label from the Nested Label Dies and cut it from vellum. Then I carefully heat embossed my sentiment in black embossing powder.
When the background was dry, I die cut he same label from the background and black cardstock 4 times and glued them all together for a raised look.
I glued the "frame" that was left to a card front, then glued the labels back in their spot, added the vellum label to that and popped my pumpkin up with foam squares.
For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the pumpkin's eyes and nose.

Here's a closer look at the subtle shimmer the Metallix Gel gives and the glossy eyes of the glowing pumpkin.

Such a fun card. I would love to send this to a girlfriend this fall. I think it would fit in perfect! Don't you?

Depresso Flamingo

Hey everybody! It's Amanda W. taking over today with a bold and bright caffeinated flamingo card. I have been playing with distress ink backgrounds lately and when this one was finished I knew I wanted to try a flamingo with it.

Here are the details:

Blended distress inks and spritzed the panel with water. Then adhered it to a card front.
Trimmed down a black panel to 4x5.25 and die cut a border out. Then popped this up with foam tape for dimension.
Stamped, colored and die cut my flamingo. Then I glued him directly to the black panel.
I chose a sentiment from the Perfectly Blended set, stamped it on a red-ish cardstock that matched my background and popped the strip up with foam tape.
For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the mug and gems scattered throughout. I love a little bling!

I love that black cardstock against the bright background. And the flamingo is just soft enough to pop from both of those elements and not get lost. This is such a fun card and was pretty quick to put together. I feel like a set of these with different sentiments would be a fun gift for someone. Or a great thing to have on hand for when you need to send a card on short notice.

Watercolor Pumpkin Friends

Hello everyone and welcome back! It's Amanda W. sharing some watercolor fun with Pumpkin Friends today.

Today I decided to get messy with watercolor. Let's be real, I'm rarely a clean crafter but when you add paint I'm an extra mess.

Today I used watercolor paper for the background panel and just did multiple layers of black watercolor, drying the paper in between to add texture and dimension to the paint. Then I splattered that with gold and purple watercolor and set it aside to dry.
I stamped, colored and cut my pumpkins and popped them up with foam squares.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in gold and then stamped a spider hanging down from the bottom of it for an extra spooky look.
For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the pumpkin's eyes, noses and mouths and the spider's body.
This whole thing was glued onto a purple card base for a little pop of extra color around the edge.

Look at the light shine off the glossy accents. It really gives it a whole different look. I love it!

Gourd-geous Shaker

Hey everyone! It's Amanda W. taking over today to share this Gourd-geous card with you! Ha!

Get it...it's the name of the stamp set I used.

Oh yes, I'm very good at bad jokes. Anyway, on with the show.

For today's card I kept it pretty simple but really fun!

I started by using a cloud stencil and distress inks on a white panel for some spooky Halloween clouds.
Next I stamped, colored and cut out my pumpkin.
Then I cut a wonky frame and a piece of acetate, gluing them together and then adding a double layer of foam tape to create my shaker window.
I poured micro beads, seed beads and glitter on the cloud panel and adhered the window piece over the top enclosing the shaker mechanism.
Next I adhered that to a card base and added my pumpkin and sentiment to the front of the shaker.

This card is adorable and so fun to play with! The beads give the shaker some weight but the glitter shimmers so nicely in the light. It's a great balance.
