Caffeinated Critters Watercolor Background

Hey, everyone! It's Lynnea Hollendonner and I'm so excited about today's card! I've had it in my head for a while and I'm glad to finally get it out on paper! I love that there are now 7 different critters in the caffeinated line and I just had to use a bunch of them together! The #momlife sentiment from the Caffeinated Cat stamp set was the inspiration behind this card! I can just see this group of mom commiserating together about their daily struggles! Haha!

How - To

Stamp Caffeinated Flamingo, Crab, Bee, Cat, Dino, and Octopus onto a piece of watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat emboss with clear powder.
Color with watercolor markers.
Add a flat wash of a light gray watercolor to the background.
Die cut panel with a stitched rectangle die.
Stamp and white heat emboss #momlife sentiment from the Caffeinated Cat stamp set three times and trim down into strips. Adhere strips with foam tape.
Add clear sparkle to the black sentiment strips and black Nuvo Crystal Drops above and below sentiment strips.

Stamped Text Backgrounds with Caffeinated Cat and Caffeinated Octopus

Hey, everyone! It's Lynnea from Sparkliie Creations and I have two clean and simple cards to share with you today! I love to create my own backgrounds with stamped images, but these sentiments from the Caffeinated Cat and Caffeinated Octopus are just screaming to be showcased! I created a video showing how I stamped these backgrounds, so make sure you scroll to the bottom of this post to watch!

How - to

Use a medium gray ink to stamp sentiments across the background of the card making sure the sentiments are wide enough to peek out from behind the coordinating images.

Stamp images onto cardstock, color with your favorite coloring medium, and cut out.

Pop up images with foam tape.

Embellish with drops or sequins.

Caffeinated Octopus by Martha Lucia

Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here, excited for been in this new team and so happy to share with you one of the Caffeinated stamp sets: Octopus!

This octopus is a cute image that can represent us in many ways like addicted to coffee and overwhelmed!

Let me share with you the process that I used to make this card. I started with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and I randomly stamped the Octopus image over this layer using VersaMark Dazzle Ink. I love this ink because produce the tone-tone effect and also have a little of shimmer. I let the piece of card stock dry for a while because it is a pigment ink.

Then in a separate piece of very vanilla card stock I stamped again the Octopus but this time using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image with color pencils and using a partial die cutting technique, I cut the colored image with one of the dies included on the die cut set Anastasia Tag Die by WPlus9.

To make more special this piece, I added at the lower part one strip of washi tape that I cut at the same time with the die tag and then stamped one of the sentiments included on the stamp set.

I pasted the tag temporary over the initial stamped layer card and past both pieces through my die cut machine with a Stitched Rectangle Die Cut. I pasted the crumb cake layer directly over a Blueberry Bushel card base and added the finalized tag with double sided foam tape.
