Pet Lovers with Katie

Hey there pet lovers!  Katie here with a sweet scene today that will make you want to give your pet a hug!

Isn't that the sweetest thing?  A tiny girl looking up at her dog in awe!  He is just towering over her, so cute.


Here is how I made this card:
  • First I stamped and colored my pup from Doggone and colored it with my Copics.  I fussy cut it out and set it aside. 
  • Next, I masked and stamped the little girl from the We Are Family set.  I colored her and paper pieced the shirt, then fussy cut her as well
  • Then I die cut the scalloped circle and stamped the sentiment (from Doggone). 
  • I added some cloud dp and die cut some grass and added it to the scene. 
  • Next I placed my critter and his kid, using some foam tape.  
  • I mounted this all on the same paper as the girls shirt, which was then mounted on white cardstock measuring 6 X 4.

As my teamies pointed out, this would make a great (sniffle) pet sympathy card.  BUT, I prefer to think of it as a simple I miss you or thinking of you card. Wouldn't that be fun?  I know just who I will send it to. ;)

Happy Mother's Day Mom

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here on the blog with you.  It's Mother's Day and I hope everyone's celebrating this day with their loved ones.  For today's card, I am showcasing the We Are Family stamp set.






Here's how I made the card:
  • stamp the images on some Neenah classic crest solar white card stock and color it in with alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • I used a small stamp set from my stash to create the grassy hill, inking it up using my make-up brushes and some Lawn Fawn Celery ink.
  • I also stamped the clouds with Memento Desert Sand ink and colored them with alcohol markers.
  • I used a small "Mom" die to die-cut the background.  I also die-cut a few more and layered them together to make the word "Mom" stand out on the card.

Hang In There



Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here with you and it's my day to take over the TRHD blog.   For today's project, I am showcasing the We are Family stamp set.



For the past few months, I have been making a lot of very-detailed handmade cards with scenes up the wazoo and I figured sometimes I just need a break from that and create some very simple cards.  After all, less is more, right?!


Here's how I made the card:
  • Stamp the kite image on smooth white card stock and color the images in with Copic markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • Die-cut the image with an electronic die-cutting machine or fussy cut with scissors.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2.
  • Cut an A2 size piece of smooth white card stock and use the Kites Embossing folder to dry-emboss the background.
  • Die-cut the "Hang In There" sentiment on some black card stock. Die-cut the same on some fun foam and adhere this piece on the black card stock.
  • Adhere the sentiment on the embossed background.
  • Adhere the kite with some liquid adhesive.
  • Finish the design by using Sakura white gel pen to add some lines and dot to the kite.

We are Family by Martha Lucia

Hi there! Martha Lucia here with you.

Today I am featuring the stamp set We are Family from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I created a card full of layers and special details. Take a look at my card:


 Let me share with you the steps to create the card:
  1. Cut your card base. I used whisper white card stock of 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2".
  2. Cut the second layer using the Cloud Die. I used the Cloud Die from Kat Scrappiness and I inked a little the die before to pass it through the cutting machine to add more dimension to the layer.
  3. Cut the cloud stitched die created before using a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle.
  4. Stamp the sentiment from the We are Family set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
  5. Paste the second layer to the card base using double sided foam tape.
  6. Stamp the kite from the stamp set We are Family over whisper white card stock.
  7. Color the stamped kites using alcohol markers and make tiny dots with a white gel pen.
  8. Fussy cut the stamped kites with your scissors.
  9. Cut two clouds from the He is Risen die using whisper white card stock and arrange them over the decorated card base using double sided foam tape.
  10. Paste the stamped images with double sided foam tape and personalize your card adding some sequins.

Grateful for Family


Welcome back to the The Rabbit Hole Designs blog!
It's Lisa here with you today and I have a 
sweet card to share with you using the We Are Family stamp set.
I've been loving what the design team has been doing with this
stamp set by using both the mom and dad on a card at the same time.
I thought I'd give it a go for this card.
I'm so glad I did because they are just darling together!

I started out by making a rainbow blended background through
a fun stencil.  I used a black scalloped heart to break up the busy pattern
and to really make the colors pop.
The sentiment from the stamp set "So grateful you are my"
was almost perfect for this card but since I wanted a family
themed card, I searched through my stash of sentiment stamps
until I found the word family.  It was the perfect addition!
 I stamped it on white paper and matted it in black.
I popped the family and sentiment up on foam tape over the heart
and my sweet card was done.
I love how it came out and I hope you do too!

Best Day Ever



Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here on the blog with you with you today!  I am so looking forward to seeing my children next month and be able to spend some quality time with them.  This is my inspiration for today to create this card, showcasing the We are Family stamp set.


CARD RECIPE:
  • Stamp the images on smooth white card stock and color the images in with Copic markers (or any coloring medium of your choice).
  • Die-cut the image with an electronic die-cutting machine or fussy cut with scissors.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2.
  • Cut an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth white card stock and use the Drifts and Hills stencil to create the grassy hills with Mowed Lawn distress oxide ink.
  • Use the Winter Wonder background stencil to create the mountain with Pumice stone distress oxide ink.  Cover this with painter's tape to mask the background.
  • Use the Ray of Light stencil to add the sunrays with Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade distress oxide inks.

  • Here's what it looks like when the background is completely finished:

  • Use the distress sprayer to spritz some water on the colored background and dab it dry with some paper towel.
  • Adhere the colored background on an A2 size side-fold card base.
  • Adhere the colored images on the card with Nuvo liquid adhesive and some foam adhesive.
  • Die-cut the sentiment using the Best Day Ever fri-dies and adhere to the foreground with liquid glue.
