"Joy to the Squirrel"

Clarence is back and he is having a blast during our Christmas in July celebration! Of course, Clarence couldn't stop himself from playing with some snow and creating a snow-squirrel! The Clarence Christmas set TRH-170 is a 4x6 set that includes three adorable and fun images of Clarence and two sentiments.

Clarence was colored using watercolors. He is such a fun character to color. I added some highlights and lowlights to the tail to make it look furry. I kept the colors to match the retro palette of reds and teals. The background is one of the layers of the Mid-Century Modern #2 Stencil used with TCW's Stencil Butter (Pearl White).

No Peeking! - Holiday card

Hello my crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by The Rabbit Hole Designs blog. Happy Christmas in July! Today I am sharing this easy sweet card with the bunny who just cannot seem to keep out of the presents. So much for "No Peeking!", right?

The Bunny Christmas stamp set is a large 6"x 8" set. It is illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats. There are three holiday bunny images and a variety of sentiments. I have paired it up the present image with this up with one of the Retro Christmas 6x6 paper backgrounds.

I cut the Retro Christmas paper to 4" x 5 1/4" to use as the background. To tone down the background and allow the focus to be on the image, I cut a piece of vellum to 5" x 5 1/4". I folded and wrapped 1/2" of the vellum around both sides of the 4" background and glued the folded edges to the back side.

I stamped and colored the bunny image with colored pencils and attached it o the vellum. I treated a piece of red cardstock with the Cottontial Embossing Powder Tool and stamped the sentiment Merry Christmas with VersaMark watermark ink. I heat embossing it with black embossing powder and cut it to a 4"x 3/4" strip and glued it over the image. I attached the car front to an A2 white card base.

CAS Clarence Holiday Card

Hi! Today I have a clean and simple holiday card to share. This card features one of the fun images from the adorable new Clarence Christmas stamp set which is illustrated by Dustin Pike!

I started by stamping the Clarence image in black ink onto a white A2 sized (4.25x5.5") cardstock panel. Then I colored the image using my colored pencils and trimmed the panel using a dotted A2 sized rectangle die from my stash.

Next, stamped my sentiment onto an oval that I had created using a die from my stash. Then I stamped my sentiment onto the oval in black ink.

I had saved the scraps I had created from trimming and using The Retro Christmas papers. I was able to use a thin piece of striped patterned paper and adhered it to a wider strip of black paper. I then adhered the strip below Clarence and adhered the sentiment oval on top of that strip.

I adhered this panel onto a black cardstock panel and then onto an A2 sized (4.25x5.5") white cardstock panel to complete the card.

I love this clean and simple look! This stamp set is so fun to color too! I hope this card inspires you to get crafting!!

CAS Watercolored Holly Card - Christmas in July with The Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello my crafty friends! I am sharing this simple watercolored card using The Rabbit Hole Designs' Line Holly stamps set from the Chrismas in July release and it is illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats.

I die cut a piece of white cardstock to an A2 card front size using a deckle edged die from my stash.

I prepped the card front using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool and placed it into my MISTI stamp positioning tool. I stamped the Line Holly with VersaMark Clear Watermark ink.

I heat embossed the image in clear embossing powder to create a resist of the image.

I used some of the handmade watercolor shift paints in my stash to color the image of the holly leaves and the berries.

I cut the Fa la la la la / la la la la sentiment in half to break it up over the length of the card. This can be achieved by masking off part of the stamp as well. I glued a few holiday gems to the card front and mounted it to a green A2 card base to complete the card. And there youi have it, another easy peasy clean and simple holiday card.

I used my Copic markers to color him up on his little train and I used the paper from this release for the background. How fun and easy was this card.
