Balloon Animals #2 Snarky Clean & Simple Card

Hello crafty friends, today I am sharing another card using the Balloon Animals #2 Stamp Set that just released the first of this month.  It has sentiments that are not as snarky as this one, but if you know me you know I am a sarcastic person, so I was all about this sentiment when I saw this stamp set.

For my card I used two of the images from the Balloon Animals #2 Stamp Set.  I picked the Octopus and the Crab.  I thought that they were super funny paired with the sentiment I picked for today's Snarky Clean & Simple Card design.  I colored the two images with my alcohol markers and used the matching Balloon Animals #2 Dies to cut each one of them out.

For the inside panel of my card I used the Making Waves Stencil to add a little fun underwater plants.  I just keep the color scheme super simple.  I only used two different colors of ink for the background.  For the stencil I just used my Bitty Bunny Blending Brushes and went a little heavier with the ink application.

Balloon Animals #2 - Pink Octopus

Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog. Today's card features the new Balloon Animals #2 stamp set and coordinating dies.


Card details:

  • Cut the largest frame from You've Been Framed dies from pink cardstock. Create a tone-on-tone background by blending the Candy Twist stencil with pink ink on the pink cardstock panel.
  • Cut the smallest frame from You've Been Framed dies from peach cardstock. Realign the die-cut piece on one end of the same die taking care to line up the holes. Cut again to create a strip peach die-cut. Repeat 2 more times to create 3 peach strips.
  • Stamp the sentiment (also from Balloon Animals #2) on one of the peach strips and attach all 3 to the pink cardstock panel.
  • Stamp and die-cut the octopus image from Balloon Animals #2. Color with alcohol markers and add white gel pen details. Attach to card.
  • Attach the pink A2 panel to a card base. Add googly eyes to finish off the card.

Balloon Animals #2 - Twisted Red Crab

 Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog. Today's card features the new Balloon Animals #2 stamp set and coordinating dies.

Card details:

  • Cut the largest frame from You've Been Framed dies from red cardstock. Create a tone-on-tone background by blending the Pinwheel stencil with red ink on the red cardstock panel.
  • Cut the smallest frame from You've Been Framed dies from black cardstock. Realign the die-cut piece in the corner of the same die taking care to line up the holes. Cut again to create a smaller black die-cut. Attach the black die-cut piece to the red cardstock panel.
  • Stamp and die-cut the image from Balloon Animals #2. Color with alcohol markers and add white gel pen details. Attach to card.
  • Stamp sentiment along the edge of the black die-cut piece. Attach the red A2 panel to a card base. Add googly eyes and sequins to finish off the card.

Let's Get Twisted with Frames

Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog. Today's card features the new Balloon Animals #2 stamp set and coordinating dies.

Card details:

  • Cut two black frames with the You've Been Framed dies. Nest the middle and smallest rectangle dies together to create a frame.
  • Use the frames as a guide to mask off two tilted rectangular areas on an A2-sized white panel. Blend the Pinwheel stencil in both areas in light pink and blue inks. Attach the black frames to outline the blended areas and trim off excess frames.
  • Stamp and die-cut the image from Balloon Animals #2. Color with alcohol markers and add white gel pen details. Attach to card.
  • Stamp sentiment along the edge of one of the frames. Attach A2 panel to a card base. Add sequins to finish off the card.
