Re-Release Inspiration Hop: Clarence Christmas

Welcome to the Re-release Inspiration Hop!

I created this card using the set called Clarence Christmas 4x6 and Park Background 4X6.  I first stamped the images out on white card stock. Then I colored Clarence and his train with Copics and other alcohol markers.  I then, lightly colored the Park Background with a pale blue Copic marker to create a bright white snowy scene.  I only placed the blue on to the outer edges for highlight. I also colored the buildings with a very light grey so that it would blend with the scenery.

After all the coloring is finished I used the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool  to prep for embossing white, for the snowy spots.  To finish off the scene, I used a Cottontail Blending Brush to add a bit of pale blue to the edges for more highlight.

I placed the panel onto a patterned paper piece purchased at a local craft store and then glued it to a A-2 card base.

I challenge you to recreate this and make sure to tag me @craftwithme101 and The Rabbit Hole Designs on Instagram if you do.

Booktroverted

Hello Crafty friends and fellow Book Lovers!  This post would have been done last night.  Except that truly I am one of the original Booktroverts and so, instead of writing my first ever blog post for our beloved TRHD I was in my bed...reading.   Until nearly 4 a.m.  (Seriously, though, it was just that book I needed to read.  Please tell me you know what I mean!)

I'm hoping that if you love this stamp and sometimes can't put that book down, you are, perhaps, a little sympathetic and willing to read on?

This card is very simple to create:

1.  Using the Book Lover stamp set, stamp the image in black ink.

2. Mask the image

3. Using a small acrylic stamp block and some gray archival ink, stamp Booktrovert in rows across, above, and below the image.  (Make sure you stagger the start of each line!)

4.  Remove the mask and color -- I used my copics and a stardust glitter pen on the books' spines.  Don't forget a shadow at the bottom of your image to lightly ground it (I'm not a fan of "floating" images, so for me a shadow is a must).

5. Cut down the top & bottom of your image and mount it on an A2 card base in a color you like (I'm into this pear-ish color at the moment, but since I have a rainbow of books, most colors work.)

6. Pick your fave sentiment from the set, stamp it black on white card and pop it onto a simple shape in the color of your base card and--for a little extra oomph--pop up that sentiment shape with a bit of foam tape.  You're done!  (Now you can go back to your book!)

I hope you've enjoyed this post and appreciate the time you've spent here with me today.  You can also find me on IG, FB, on my blog (occasionally!), and  even on YouTube every once in a while.

Sassy & Sweet Ballet Bestie

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are up on your toes today for this sweet (but sassy) Bunny ballet card.  Isn't she adorable in mid-pirouette spreading sparkles and love everywhere.

The Bunny Ballet stamp set is from The Rabbit Hole Designs' October Release.  It is illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats and is paired with one of the Sassy Sentiments #2 stamps which shows her sassy side and her great choice in friends.
I stamped the bunny and heart sparkles (in a grey ink) on the lower area of a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" printed cardstock. It is a lovely varigated pink to purple blend.  This is a great way to utilize some of the printed papers in your stash. I colored the bunny a solid grey to create a prominent shadow. I grabbed some small red flat back gems and glued each one in the center of the stamped heart sparkles.

I stamped a second Bunny image, colored it with Olo Markers, and fussy cut it close to the outline.  Using adhesive foam squares, I attached the colored bunny to the card front (slightly left of the grey colored shadow).

The sassy sentiment is stamped on a cream colored cardstock and cut into a tight rectangle.  It is added to the card front above the dancing bunny.  The card front is attached to a pink A2 card base completing the card.

You Make my Heart Dance

Hi everybody!  Amy here with you, and today I am sharing a card I created using the beautiful Bunny Ballet Stamp Set illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats.

Bunny Ballet Stamp Set illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats, Garden Trellis Stencil by The Rabbit Hole Designs #therabbitholedesignsllc #therabbitholedesigns #trhd

To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock and used the Garden Trellis Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet, and Seedless Preserves.  I then splattered the background with gold watercolor paint and set it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped this gorgeous image from the Bunny Ballet Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and fussy cut it out.

I prepped a piece of paper with the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool, stamped the sentiment from the Bunny Ballet Stamp Set in gray pigment ink, and clear heat embossed.  I then fussy the sentiment and backed it with gold glitter cardstock.

I assembled my card using gold glitter cardstock for the base, and adhered the image and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen and glossy accents to the bunnies noses!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Bunches of Books

Hi! Lauren here again. Today, I have a book lovers card featuring the newly released Book Lover 4x4 stamp set illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats. It's such a cute set with fantastic sentiments!

For this card, I started by stamping the image near the bottom of an A2, 4.25x5.5", white cardstock panel. I then secured the Back Alley stencil over it and used a Cottontail Blending brush to blend Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink over it. I used a stitched rectangle die from my stash to trim my panel.

I then stamped 5 more images onto white cardstock and colored them up using colored pencils. One of them I colored the whole image. The other 4, I colored just the books. Then I fussy cut everything out.

I created shelves for the books from black strips of cardstock. I adhered one of the shelves below the uncolored stamped image on the card panel. Then I adhered the full colored image over top of the uncolored one, on top of the shelf.

Then, I adhered on the next shelf and added the books to it.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment above the books and adhered the panel onto a white, top folding A2 sized card base.

I hope you enjoyed this card and that it inspires you to create a fun book filled card. Thanks for visiting!

Make it Part of the Dance!

This card came to be thanks to the sentiment in the Ballet Bunny set (TRH-188). It is such a positive and supportive quote that should be shared with all your friends. I started by prepping the white panel with the Cottontail Embossing Powder ToolI gold-embossed it and splattered the panel with some water-downed gold acrylic. Foiled a 4x5.25" panel using the Amanda Hot Foil Cover Plate. The brown/rust-colored background was created using alcohol inks. The golden speciality paper under the panel with the sentiment is the leftovers of a foiling sheet. I pleated the golden left-over foiling sheet and used it for some extra interest.

This is the stamp that ignited the ideas for this card. It is part of the October Release and can be found at the store HERE.

Off-Road Besties - (Sassy best friends card tutorial)

Hello crafty friends!  Today I have a simple and fun beastie card to share.  I was inspired by one of the new sentiments  "You are the Thema to my Louise"  from The Rabbit Hole DesignsSassy Sentiment #2 stamp set.  I paired this sentiment uo with the Up In Flames stencil, and the SxS Life stamp set*
(Profits from every sale of this stamp set* (SxS Life) will go to fund injured drivers/riders, families of drivers/riders who have lost their lives, and organizations that promote & educate driver and rider safety in the off-road environment.").
I love using these three sets together to create this fun best friends card.
I stamped one of the SxS off-road vehicles randomly on a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock with purple ink to create the card background.  I stamp the same image on a piece of coloring cardstock and colored it with purple and grey Olo alcohol markers.  I die cut the colored image using the SxS Life coordinating die set

I stenciled the flames (from the Up In Flames stencil) onto a piece of 1" x 4" white cardstock with red, yellow, and orange inks.  I stamped the sentiment "You're the Thema to my Louise" to the left of the Flames.  I mounted the sentiment strip onto a piece of 4" x 1 1/4" red cardstock.

I glued the background piece onto a red A2 card base.  I used foam squares to attach the colored SxS image to the bottom front of the card.  I glued the sentiment strip to the card front just above the colored SxS vehicle completing the card.
