Breakfast in the Clouds

Hello! It's Lauren here on the blog today. Do you ever dream of waking up to enjoy a beautiful breakfast on a big, fluffy, soft cloud? That is exactly what I envisioned for this sweet little bunny.

To create this dreamy card, I stamped the image onto white cardstock using black ink. I knew I wanted to paper piece the pillow and bed comforter, so I picked a paper from my stash that I thought would work well with my cloud vision. I stamped the bunny in bed image onto the patterned paper as well.

Next, I colored the areas of the image on the white cardstock that were not going to be paper pieced using colored pencils.

Then, I fussy cut out the colored image and also the patterned paper pieces for the pillow and the comforter. With everything cut out, I adhered the patterned paper pieces onto the colored image.

To create my cloud background, I used the Clouds in my Coffee stencil with blue Distress oxide ink that was left on my blender brush. I blended clouds all over a white A2 (4.24x5.5") cardstock panel. I then trimmed it using an A2 sized stitched rectangle die from my stash.

I adhered my cloud background panel onto a white, top folding, A2 card base. Then adhered my bunny in bed image onto the card. The final step was to stamp the sentiment in black below the image directly onto the background.

That completes my card for today. I hope this inspires you to create a fun setting for this bunny to enjoy breakfast! Thanks for visiting!

Rainbow Chameleon

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to The Rabbit Hole Designs blog. Today I am sharing a colorful and caffeinated card. The Caffeinated Chameleon has been camouflaged many ways this month.  I thought I would celebrate Pride Month by camouflage him in Rainbow stripes.
Cut strips of 10 different pieces of colored cardstock and started sticking them in rainbow order on a piece of white cardstock using a double-sided Adhesive Sheet.  Cut a piece of the newly created rainbow cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" to use as a card front. Stamp the Caffeinated Chameleon on the piece of the remaining rainbow cardstock lining up the top of the head in the red stripe. Fussy cut the rainbow chameleon. Add shading to the rainbow chameleon matching each rainbow colors as closely as you can using alcohol markers. Stamp the chameleon on a piece of white cardstock.  Colored the eyes and the coffee cup.  Cut the colored eyes and coffee cup out and glue them to the rainbow chameleon.
Here you can see his eyes and coffee cup were colored, cut out and glued onto the front of Caffeinated Chameleon.  Add foam squares to he back of the chameleon and attach it to the card front, placing it slightly lower off center of the card front rainbow.  Stamp the sentiment above the chameleon and add die cut coffee cups to the card front. Attach the card front to an A2 white card base.

I hope you enjoyed the Rainbow Chameleon card featuring the Caffeinated Chameleon stamp set

I Put A Spell On You by Niccole

Hello everyone!

It's Niccole from Nic & Viv Designs back again to share another card I made using one of The Rabbit Hole Designs stamp sets.

For today's card I used the Hex Yeah, Gourd-geous, and Pumpkin Friends stamp sets.

How to create this card:

  • Standard black A2 sized card
  • Add white piece stamped with the Hex Yeah sentiment, and Pumpkin Friends image
  • Copic color the big pumpkin
  • Stamp the pumpkin from Gourd-geous stamp set and Copic color him on a scrap piece of paper
  • Fussy cut him out or use a Scan-N-Cut like I did
  • Cover up the small pumpkin on your white panel with the Gourd-geous pumpkin
  • I used foam tape to make him pop
  • Add black and white stripe paper to top and bottom of your card
  • Finish with some crystal gems

Feline Fine- with Katie

Hey, Hey, Katie here today!  Let's see, what day is it?  Wednesday!  Oh wait, it is only Tuesday- lame, but Happy Almost Hump Day to you!

Last week I had one for the dog lovers and today I have one for the cat lovers... with a teensy bit (literally) of dog too.  Hopefully this one makes someone feel a teensy bit better if they are under the weather.

Here is how I made it:
  • Started by stamping my cats and pups from Cattitude and Doggone on Copic Friendly paper.
  • I die cut them out using my ScanNCut and colored them with my copics.
  • For the dog, I paper pieced a bit of plaid paper for his scarf.
  • Next I die cut the blueprint die using a light shade of brown paper.  Then I mounted it on Kraft.
  • I decided where I wanted to place each of my critters and then set them aside.
  • I stamped the paws and the different bits of sentiment in the different grids based on where I wanted the pets.
  • Lastly, I came back in and added my pets using foam tape.
My biggest challenge with this card was the Tortoiseshell Kitty, but I think it turned out pretty good.  What do you think? Have you attempted this type of pet coloring? What was your technique and how did it turn out?

Well, I had such a fun time making this card and I hope it perks someone up. :)

Pet Lovers with Katie

Hey there pet lovers!  Katie here with a sweet scene today that will make you want to give your pet a hug!

Isn't that the sweetest thing?  A tiny girl looking up at her dog in awe!  He is just towering over her, so cute.

Here is how I made this card:
  • First I stamped and colored my pup from Doggone and colored it with my Copics.  I fussy cut it out and set it aside.
  • Next, I masked and stamped the little girl from the We Are Family set.  I colored her and paper pieced the shirt, then fussy cut her as well
  • Then I die cut the scalloped circle and stamped the sentiment (from Doggone).
  • I added some cloud dp and die cut some grass and added it to the scene.
  • Next I placed my critter and his kid, using some foam tape.
  • I mounted this all on the same paper as the girls shirt, which was then mounted on white cardstock measuring 6 X 4.
Here is a close up:

As my teamies pointed out, this would make a great (sniffle) pet sympathy card.  BUT, I prefer to think of it as a simple I miss you or thinking of you card. Wouldn't that be fun?  I know just who I will send it to. ;)

#MomLife- with Katie

Happy Day 5 of the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Hop!  I am not sure if you noticed, but so many of The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps are just perfect for this hop!!!  For example:

Cracks me up!  I was at a crafty garage sale this last weekend and found this sheet of Echo Park stickers and my first thought was of this funny cat.  It was meant to be!

Here is how I made this fun card:
  • To start I stamped my Caffeinated Cat image on Copic friendly paper and used my Copics to color it.
  • Next, I stamped again on a couple of different designer papers to make the robe and the cup.  For the robe, I added gel pen to the parts of the robe for the white and darkened with a Copic around the shadows.  I stamped and colored the mouse and put him back in the pocket.  Again, the Cup was a different DP.  (I read it like, "OK! OK!"- LOL). I colored the coffee bit brown and edded glossy accents over it.
  • After my grumpy cat was done, I went to work on the background.  The Paper is from Recollections and die cut with a Wonky Stitches die from my stash.
  • Next, I added the stickers to the scene and popped up the cat in front.
  • I had these tiny little butterflies, I thought they would add a little pop, so I colored them to match the robe and added them.
  • Lastly, I mounted it all on my white card base.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I sure enjoyed making it!  For a complete list of supplies, you are welcome for visit me on my blog
