A Brew-ti-ful Morning

Hello my crafty friends!  Welcome to The Rabbit Hole Designs blog.  You get a full sneak peak of the at one of the new upcoming April releases, but you will have to be patient and wait until March 29th to grab this gorgeous Spring Coffee stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. We are sharing this as part of the FB Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I love the new designs featuring the art of Tatsiana.  The florals pair up beautifully with this morning cup!

I stamped the image in Almond Cream Nuvo Hybrid ink.  It is a lighter brown and a great choice to use for soft-line coloring with either alcohol markers or a watercolor medium.  I use a combination of  Triblend and Copic alcohol markers to color the image.  I look at photographs of flowers on Google looking for a four petal flower. I chose one I like in the lavender and purple colors.  It is all about layering and blending when you are using alcohol markers.  The sentiment is a simple play on words "You're brew-ti-ful"

I hope you enjoyed this "A Brew-ti-ful Morning" single layer card featuring Spring Coffee stamp set by The Rabbit Hole Designs.  Make sure to stop by Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to see additional projects featuring the Spring Coffee stamp set! Don't forget to mark your calendar for Mar 29th to grab this stamp set!

Its All About Love AND stencils!

Hello crafty people! Thanks for stopping by today to take a look. Todays card is all about love!
I wanted to create a nice clean and simple card with the Open Heart stencil. I started out by applying a tiny bit of bright pink ink and then spread on some Faber Castell glass bead glitter gel. I let the panel dry over night to let it get completely dry. I didn't want to be tempted to touch it before it was totally dry.

After the panel was completely dry I added a frame around the panel.
Next I stamped the sentiment from the Je t'aime stamp set on a die cut heart and added a bit of silver thread behind it for a little touch of fancy.
I hope I was able to provide some inspiration today! Stop by The Rabbit Hole Designs to check out all the amazing products in the January new release.
Thanks so much!

That ONE Friend

Hello and welcome TRHD fans!  Shanna here today to share a fun CAS card that stretches the stamp set Mermaid Hair from The Rabbit Hole Designs.
Summer is still HOT here in California, so I am not quite ready to put away my summer stamps, not that my mermaids ever go far!! And I am always looking for different ways to use my stamps that don't always jump out at me when first seeing the set. These 3 fishies were needing their own card for sure!

For this card I started my stamping my single *odd ball* fish first and then added all of the other fish in a triangular pattern for interest all on a A2 Bristol card base.  I used Versa Clair Nocturne ink knowing I would be watercoloring my images.
I used my Zig real brush pens to watercolor all the fist and water.
My sentiment came from Sassy Sentiments. It fit the design perfectly!!  I just heat embossed it in white on a black sentiment strip and added it to the card.

We all have "that one friend", I know I do!  What about you?!?

As always, thanks so much for stopping by! You can see more of my creations on my blog Caffeinated Craftiness, or be sure and follow my crafty adventures over on Instagram!
 See you all soon!

Doggone Simple!

Hello everyone!  Shanna here again today And I am sharing a fun  and easy card featuring TRHD newest release, Doggone.  This card came together quickly, as it involves NO COLORING ! *gasp*. I truly love coloring,  but every once and a while I like the simplicity of leaving the stamps to stand out on their own..
I started with a white 110lb cardstock base slightly smaller than 4.25x5.5".  I stamped each of the dogs included in Doggone scattered and partially off the base to create a "frame" effect using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink (my hands down favorite black!).  I added in some paw prints, bones, and "woof" sentiment to fill in some more space.  Lastly I heat embossed my sentiments in white on some black cardstock and cut down to strips.

Easy peasy, and a great beginner card!  These images are so cute, they can totally be left uncolored! If you haven't already checked out the *pawsome* new release this month, head on over to The Rabbit Hole Designs website and take a woof, err I mean look!
Well, that's all today....Thank you so much for stopping by!  Be sure to swing by and say hi over at my blog, and follow along with my caffeinated adventures on Instagram!  See you all again soon

So-Fishticated ~ CAS Seahorse

Good Morning

MaryAnn here and today is my day on the The Rabbit Hole Designs blog and I want to share an easy to make card with you that features the one of the images from
The Rabbit Hole Designs set So-Fishticated

Today's card is the epitome of CAS (Clean And Simple) and you will be able to make many of this type of card in minutes.  I can see this card being used for Birthdays, Miss you, Thank you, Masculine themed.  It all depends on the colors you choose.

Card Recipe
  • Grab your favorite background stamp and some post it tape or post it's and mask off a nice rectangle on your card base. You can even do this with a masked off square or circle.  I used a top folding A2 sized card base.
  • Ink up your background stamp and stamp your masked off card base and set aside
  • for the seahorse I used Versafine Clair ink in Blue Belle and clear embossing powder applied then heat set. A quick color of the seahorse using Zig clean color brush pens and I was ready to fussy cut.
  • Once you have fussy cut your image apply foam tabe to back for dimension and attach to front of previously masked and stamped card base. Add a couple of sequins and your card is done.
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar white in 110lb (card base) and 80lb for the seahorse.

That is all for me today.  I hope I have inspired you to maybe give this technique a go and create some fast and easy cards.

Thank you for falling down The Rabbit Hole for a few minutes!
