A Grand Adventure

Hello there! It's Lauren again sharing this cheery card that gives springtime vibes. This weekend my local zoo is having its yearly butterfly festival so I thought this would be the perfect card to post.

I started out by positioning then securing butterfly stencil over a white A2 (4.25x5.5") cardstock panel. I then blended Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide inks through the stencil.

I carefully removed the stencil, covered the butterfly using pieces of copy paper that I tore to fit over it, then splattered gold watercolor splatters onto the panel.

While my gold splatters dried, I used the Adventure Scripty Word and Shadow die to die cut out the word Adventure from black cardstock.

I chose my sentiment from the Adventure stamp set and set it up in my stamp positioner. I then used a paint brush to paint gold watercolor paint onto the sentiment. Then I stamped it onto white cardstock. Once it had dried, I trimmed it down and backed it on black cardstock.

Then I used a stitched rectangle die from my stash to die cut the butterfly panel. I adhered my sentiment above the butterfly and the word Adventure, below.

The last step was to adhere the panel onto a white A2 sized card base.

I really love how fun this card turned out and I hope you like it too! Thanks for visiting!

Here are the links to The Rabbit Hole Designs products I used to create this card:

Adventure is calling!

Adventure is calling! Vanessa here! Don't you just love this months new release? The stamps are so fun and cute, and I love the new scripty word die and stamp set: Adventure!

This slimline card came together quickly. I stamped the bunny in the airplane, and the clouds from the Sail & Soar stamp set, illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats, and cut them out. I cut the word adventure out of yellow cardstock and the shadow out of white, glued together. I set those aside to work on the background card front.... I Inked on some mountains using oxide inks with a bunny blending brush. I used a stencil, but you can easily make your own template. I blended some blue for sky.

I set adventure and the plane on the card so I knew where to stamp the word calling and my heart fly trail. I stamped the word IS by cutting apart the IS CALLING stamp, but if you don't feel comfortable doing that, just mask off the word(s) you don't want with a piece of paper, ink and stamp. Easy either way. I glued the card front to a slimline base, attached all my stamped and die cut images on with dimensional tape.

Have a great day!

Golden Spring Floral Kitty

Hi Friends! Kelly here. Today I am using Spring Kitty illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats. for The Rabbit Hole Designs.
I wanted to try something different so I stamped the image in Versamark ink & I used Gold Embossing powder on Neenah Desert storm cardstock BUT USED MY Cottontail Embossing tool 1ST of course!
I took out my Sakura Moonlight Gelly Roll Pens. At 1st it looked streaky but then as it dried it smoothed out & looks incredible in person. So smooth & silky.
The pens I used were #444, #423,#424,#421,#424,#429 & #428.
These pens are opaque and so fun to use.
After coloring I stamped my sentiment crooked so I re-stamped it on matching cardstock, die cut it out & I used a Gold Deco pen along the edges a d covered it up, lol.  I liked this look better anyway so it worked out.
Then I die cut it with a stitched die and made a few mats with white & Desert Storm & mounted it all on top of the gold card base (which is poster board, lol) Hey, why not? Its gorgeous.
I added some white gel pen and some baubles & done.
I made this card in advance to send to my mom. She's moving soon & I have so much going on that unfortunately this will be my last blog with TRHD. I have enjoyed my time but unfortunately I've gotten hit with a few life struggles & im unable to have as much craft time as I did.
Thank you so much to TRHD for having me & for all the kindness & support Ive received.
Remember....its ok to go down the crafty....Rabbit hole🐇🎨🖌

I like you... and naps! Spring Kitty card with stenciling tutorial

Hello my crafty friends!  Welcome to today's Blog for The Rabbit Hole Designs.  This is a warm and fuzzy card featuring the Spring Kitty stamp set, Garden Trellis stencil, and both Niccole Upper and Lowercase Alpha die sets.  I imagine this sleeping kitty on a warm tile floor basking in a patch of sunshine.

Here is how I created the card:
To create the background, I used Pixie Spray to temporarily hold the Garden Trellis stencil in place on a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock.  You see the stencil is positioned on an angle. I started with yellow ink and a Bitty Bunny Blending Brush in the middle of each flower shape.  I used blue ink and a Bitty Bunny Blending Brush to shade the tiles around the yellow flowers and the small circle. After completing the stenciling, I added a few flicks of water to the tile background to distress the image.
The Spring Kitty is colored to look like a Siamese cat with alcohol markers.  I fussy cut the sleeping kitty image. (Spring Kitty is one of the illustrations by Tatsiana Zayats)
To create the sentiment, I am using the Niccole Upper and Lowercase Alpha dies to die cut and spell our "I like you & naps" from blue cardstock.  I positioned the kitty on the lower right corner of the card. I use my Make Art  board with the magnetic ruler to line up and glue down the letters.   The card front is added to a light blue A2 card base.

Bee Happy & Smile

Happy Sunday!!!!  Hope you had/are having a wonderful weekend!  Tangii here with another card using Hello Friend from the NEW March release.  For the card, I simply colored up my image and cut it out (yep, cut out by hand because I forgot to get the coordinating dies, drat! Not the end of the world, but I did put myself in a time out for forgetting, lol).

Once cut out, I popped it up with some foam tape and attached it to my sunburst panel.  I die cut a couple of small banners to fit my sentiments, stamped and popped up with foam tape. I finished it off with a few colored baubles and voila!

You can also read about this card on my blog, here with links to the products I used, etc.  Thanks for popping by, come back again soon!
