Easy Clean & Simple Fall Card

Hello and welcome back to the blog; it's Rick back with you today on this fabulous Black Friday!  I hope that you save some time to do a little crafting today after all your shopping adventures.  And if you have been out all day shopping and want to do a little crafting than my card today featuring the Falling Leaves Dies is the perfect one to recreate.

Clean & Simple Fall Card by Rick Adkins using the Falling Leaves Dies

If you remember I mentioned on Monday that I would be sharing another card with you this week using more of the leaves that I die cutting and Gelli printed.  Well, this is that card!  To increase the fall vibes on the card I took the leaves die cuts and ran them through and embossing folder to add just a little more texture to the die cuts.  I simply attached the die cuts to my A2 card front cut from Cream Cardstock from the top left corner down to the bottom left corner but with a slight curve in the middle for added interest.

Once I had all the leaves attached and the extra trimmed off the edges.  I took a black pen and drew on a few dots around a few of the leaves on the card.  I also added a little gold splatter to the card front as well.  Even through I have a lot of white space on the card, all the colorful leaves make it quite colorful.  The little extra details add to the texture and help provide a little more interest to the card, but they are so shuttle they do not over power the clean and simple design.

For the sentiment to the card I cut out the word happy from the, Happy Scripty Word with the Shadow Layering Die, just without the shadow layer and cut it from some gold metallic cardstock.  I attached the die cut sentiment to the card front with a little liquid glue.  I then took and stamped one of the sentiments from the Happy Scripty Stamp Set. I made sure to prep the cardstock with my Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool before adding gold embossing powder and heat setting it.  The sentiment strip was stamped on a scrap of navy cardstock (also left over from a pervious project).  For the sub-sentiment I popped it up with a little foam tape for a little dimension on the card.  Just a little side note if you don't have on of the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tools, do yourself a favor and pick one up as a little early Christmas present to yourself.  You will thank me for that little piece of advice.

To finish off the card and to add a little more bling to my clean & simple card; I added a few of the Clear Enamel Dots sprinkled around the card and on the leaves.  Since this was a clean and simple design I wanted something that would add a little bling but not over power the card design.  And the Clear Enamel Dots was the ticket.  They provide just the right amount of sparkle and shine but do not over power the card design.  I really love how on the leaves they look like dew drops from an early fall morning.

I hope this post has shown you that creating a clean and simple design isn't as hard as you may think. Sometimes stepping outside of your comfort zone while crafting can truly elevate your designs.

Crisp Autumn Air

Hello!  Erin here sharing a card I made using the Fall Foxes stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I'm still enjoying fall but the leaves are starting to come down rapidly and I know that winter will be hitting where I live before I'm ready for it!

I started working on this card by choosing the fox wearing a scarf image from the stamp set and colored it with pencils.  I cut it out using the coordinating die set.

For the background, I stamped the Falling Leaves stamp set in green.  I cut a circle so the green card base would show through the but I thought it still needed a little framing.  So I cut a smaller circle in some darker green card stock and used it as a frame or border around the circle.  I decided to use the same dark green to heat emboss the sentiment.  I accidentally grabbed clear embossing powder instead of white the first time I stamped and embossed the sentiment.  I actually liked how it looked so I am going to keep it but I still wanted to use white for this card.  Now I have an extra embossed sentiment to keep with this stamp set for future cards. And of course I used my Cottontail Embossing Powder tool! It works so well to leave the paper static free and helps me get a nice, crisp embossed image.
After I remade the sentiment with white embossing powder, I trimmed it down using my paper trimmer.  At that point, everything was ready to assemble.  For a little dimension, I used foam tape to attach the fox and the sentiment strip.

Lastly, I added my personalized stamp and added stamped some leaves from the stamp set onto an envelope.  I don't always make coordinating envelopes but sometimes they are fun to have.

Silly Pumpkins and Playful Foxes: A Whimsical Fall Card

Hello and welcome back to the Rabbit Hole Designs Blog.  It's Rick here with you today to bring you a fun whimsical Fall themed card.  To create the card I used not one, not two, but three different stamp sets from the Rabbit Hole Designs.  I used the brand new Silly Pumpkins Stamp Set from the latest release as the focal image and the other two sets are my supporting actors for this feature.  Here's a look at the card I created to share with you today.

Silly Pumpkins Stamp Set, Falling Leaves 6x6 Stamp Set, Fall Foxes Stamp Set, Falling Leaves Dies, Card by Rick Adkins

After creating the backgrounds for the card, I stamped the Silly Pumpkins Stamp Set in a light colored ink because I knew I wanted to color it in a no line coloring style.  I used my alcohol markers for the coloring.

Which was super easy since the design that Agota Pop came up with for this stamp set was super easy to color.  I then decided that my original background needed a little something, something to jazz it up a little bit more.  So I used my Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool and adding some anti-static powder to the card panel.  I then stamped the Falling Leaves 6x6 Stamp Set in embossing ink and covered it with gold embossing powder.  I then heat set the embossing powder to add a little more glitz to the card front.

Once I had the background finished I then could add my add the Silly Pumpkins Image to the card front and the sentiment that I had stamped from the Fall Foxes Stamp Set.  To finish off the card I added a few die cut leaves that I created using the Falling Leaves Dies.  I used these die cuts in the creation of my background panels in the first stage of adding ink to get the fun fall ink colors onto them.  I simply tucked them behind the Silly Pumpkins to finish off the card.

I hope that you have a wonderful day and thanks for joining us today.

Happy Stampin'

Fall Fox

Hi everyone!  Amy here today with this card I created featuring the adorable Fall Foxes Stamp Set illustrated by Agota Pop.

Fall Foxes Stamp and Die Set illustrated by Agota Pop, Falling Leaves Stencil, You've Been Framed - Layering Die by The Rabbit Hole Designs #therabbitholedesignsllc #therabbitholedesigns #trhd

I started this card by die cutting a piece of kraft cardstock with the second largest die from the You've Been Framed - Layering Dies.  I then used the smallest frame die from the same set to die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock.  I used the Falling Leaves Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Candied Apple to create the background.

Next, I stamped this super cute image from the Fall Foxes Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the "Fall" sentiment from the Fall Foxes Stamp Set onto orange cardstock and white heat embossed.  I die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die set.

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together, and using orange cardstock for the base.  I popped up the image with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, glossy accents on the fox's nose, and a few Clear Sparkle Enamel Dots!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Hello friends,

I'm back with this fall foxy friends. Isn't he the cutest strutting little fella?

For this card, I used the little plastic pop-outs from the Falling Leaves stencil, placed them on the white cardstock, and then spritzed the background. After it dried I removed the plastic pieces and then splattered the cardstock with gold.

The Fall Foxes stamp set and the Falling Leaves Stencil are such a perfect pair.

I hope you enjoy this card.

Hugs,

Wendy

Next, I stamped out this adorable fox from the Fall Foxes Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

Falling Leaves Hot Foil

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using the Falling Leaves Hot Foil Plates.  I think the most under utilized tool in my craft room is my hot foil machine so I was excited to play around with the new hot foil plates!  I placed the leaves in a random pattern and used pink foil to create a background.  I was originally going to use this background under an image from the Soft Hugs stamp set but I really liked the simplicity of the shimmery leaves by themselves.  I used a sentiment from the Meaningful Meerkat stamp set that was released a few months ago.
