Hello and Thanks with Alcohol Ink

Hello friends! Kimberly here. I have a couple of cards to share with you today using alcohol inks and the new word dies from The Rabbit Hole Designs. The alcohol ink background on the first card was made by me. The gorgeous background on the second card was made and given to me by Niccole to create a card with. I was inspired by her background to give alcohol inks a try again, but my backgrounds always look like a tractor trailer ran over a rainbow. Well, I refuse to give up!

This first card was made using Brea Reese alcohol inks and acetate because my Yupo paper is still in storage from our move.

I wanted the background to be white so I adhered it directly to a white card base.  Next, I cut out "Hello" using the new Hello-Scripty Dies from brushed gold cardstock. I adhered that right to the alcohol ink panel. Then, I heat embossed the word "Friend" from the matching Hello-Scripty stamp set using the awesome new Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool and gold embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock. I added foam tape to it and popped it up on the panel. To finish this card, I added some gold glitter enamel dots from my stash.

This next card features the beautiful background Niccole made.

I used the shadow part of the Thanks-Scripty die to cut a part of the panel so I could make a shaker card. Next, I lined up the shadow part that I cut out and adhered it to a gold base so it would show through the shaker. I die cut the word "Thanks" from gold cardstock and adhered it to the "Thanks" shadow.
I glued acetate to the alcohol ink panel and added some sequins over the word thanks for the shaker element of the card. Then, I added foam tape and attached the ink panel to the card base. I embossed the sentiment from the matching Thanks-Scripty stamp set using gold embossing powder and the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool on a white strip of cardstock. To finish this card, I popped the sentiment up on foam tape and glued a few sequins to the card front.

Happy Belated Birthday

Hey yall, happy weekend!!!  For today's card I used the Birthday Scripty stamp set & dies for a quick birthday card.  On the smaller white panel I stamped my sentiment in the upper left corner and then added some staggered candles in the lower left.

After coloring the candles in with Copics, I added the "birthday" layers.  For that I just used the shadow die on some fun & flowery patterned paper and then added the word die in pink!

That pink background is actually a patterned paper, it's kind of an ombre look, but it was way too subtle and looked to plain for me so I got pale pink ink and then stamped some more candles around the edges.  The white panel is popped up with foam tape.

Thanks For Everything

Hello! Lauren here today sharing my thank you card featuring the new Thanks, Scripty stamp and die sets. This was an easy card to make beautiful thanks to Niccole's gorgeous alcohol ink background panel!

To turn the panel into a finished card, I first prepared a piece of vellum using the new Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. Then I stamped the Thanks word using my watermark ink pad. I covered the word with gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess and heat set it. The Cottontail embossing tool works perfectly on vellum. No stray embossing powder clung to the vellum.

I used the shadow die from the Thanks die set to cut out the embossed word. I adhered it onto the alcohol inked background.

Next, onto aqua cardstock I prepared, then stamped in watermark ink, the sentiment. Then embossed in gold. I used sentiment strip die from my stash to trim out the sentiment. Then adhered it to the panel.

The last step, completing the card, was to back the panel with gold mirror cardstock and then adhere it onto a top folding A2 (4.25 x 5.5") white card base.
These Big Scripty words are perfect for creating quick and beautiful cards! Thanks so much for visiting!

Hi there.  Welcome to The Rabbit Hole Designs blog. It's Kelly here today and I am sharing a card  I made using several new products from the last release.  My card features the "Thanks" stamps and dies as well and the new stencil "Mid Century Modern".

To make this card, I used the following steps:

  • I secured white card stock to  "Mid Century Modern" stencil.
  • I used the Bitty Blending Brushes to apply distress oxide inks to specific places (see below).
  • I embossing "thanks" in white on blue card stock and then used the "Thanks" dies to cut it out.
  • I adhered the stenciled panel to orange card stock.
  • I attached mesh ribbon from my stash and glued the "Thanks" on top.
  • I then adhered the panel to a white card base and added some clear gems.

When you just want to say Hello!

Hello, my crafty friends! Is there ever a time where you just want to send a simple Hello to someone?

Today I have for you a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 card using the New Hello - Scripty Word with Shadow Layer Dies and the New Hello - Scripty 3x4 stamp set. These sets pair so well with each other but also with the other new stamps and dies from this release.

I loved using a blue combo with the Cat Eye 6x6 stencil, it just gave the little bit extra almost an ocean feel. For the Hello I stacked 4 of them on top of each other and adhered it to the shadow die. I really wanted to keep this nice and sleek. I stamped and white heat embossed Gorgeous on black cardstock. I added just a few clear embellishments and I really loved how it came out.

Hugs are the Cure!

Hey yall, happy Sunday!!  I had some fun with Washi, Foil & the Hugs Scripty set & dies!  I know the above photo is awful for lighting, BUT I wanted you to be able to see all of the shimmery goodness!  The photo below was taken in natural lighting and it just doesn't show the shimmery at all.  I started off with 2 different Rose Gold Washi Tapes and alternated them on my main panel, then using a die to get the scalloped edges.
Next up die cut my shadow on some Midnight Blue cs.  For the "hugs" I used the die cute word on white cs, then I foiled the letters.  Stamped the sentiment in Midnight Blue ink and finally stamped, colored up then cut out the envelope.  Both the envelope and the "Hugs" are popped up with foam tape!

You can also read about this card on my blog, here with links to the products I used, etc.  Thanks for popping by, come back again soon!

Happy Birthday to you!

Hello, my crafty friends! Today I have a quick and easy card using 4 of the newest released products.

When is there a time when you need a quick and easy Birthday card? I loved pairing the 6x6 Overlapping Circles stencil with Scripty Happy and Scripty Birthday word dies. It's such a perfect combo! With this type of stencil, I do spray it with Pixie Spray since it is so intricate. I used 3 of my favorite distress oxide colors to give it a nice blend.

For the  Scripty Happy & the  Scripty Birthday, I die cut them from a holographic cardstock just to give them a little pop then layered them on the shadow dies. The whole collection pairs so well together. You can use them together or separately. I used the Bitty Bunny Blender Brushes to soften the blends. I hope you all have found so much inspiration with this release!

Hello Mini Slimline {Quick and Easy}

Hello! Kimberly here and I am just LOVING these new releases from The Rabbit Hole Designs! I have a really easy mini slimline card to share using the Hello Die and matching Hello Stamp set

To start this card, I cut a yellow piece of cardstock that I had I my stash to 6 1/2" x 3 1/2". I stamped the sun image from the Hello stamp set all over the yellow cardstock in Versamark ink. The nice thing about embossing ink is that it leaves a slightly darker image than the cardstock you stamp it on as long as it is not a coated cardstock. Next, I stamped the word "Sunshine" all over a couple of extra pieces of the yellow cardstock using Apricot Pinkfresh Studio ink.

I lined up the "Hello" die in the "Hello" shadow die and used washing tape to keep them lined up. I die cut the word hello out of both pieces of yellow cardstock that I stamped the word sunshine all over. Then, I separated the dies and die cut three "Hello" shadows out of white cardstock. I adhered the two Hello die cuts to the white Hello shadows. I adhered the yellow Hello outline that was die cut to the last white shadow die cut. I adhered them to the yellow card panel. I added foam tape tot the middle one for dimension. To finish the card, I added the yellow card panel to a white card base that measured 7 1/2" x 6  3/4"  and scored at 3 3/4". The finished card will measure 6 3/4" 3 3/4".

Forward is forward

Hello! Happy Wednesday to you all. I'm here today to share a card with you using the newly released Garden Trellis stencil paired up with an older set that I love.

I used a slimline die set for this card. For the card front layer I stenciled onto light grey cardstock with white ink. This stencil is such a delicate design and so pretty, I've been loving to use white ink.

I also stenciled in white on darker grey cardstock and die-cut squares fitting the stencil design, then popping them up onto square mats using dimensional foam tape.

Stamp the beautiful turtle from the Turtle Botanical stamp set onto white cardstock, color and fussy cut out. Assemble your card, gluing all the pieces on, popping up the turtle with dimensional foam tape; stamp the sentiment.

Have a great day! Remember: Your speed doesn't matter. Forward is forward.

Vanessa B.
