Clarence Christmas

Hi everyone!  Amy here with you today sharing a card I created using the Clarence Christmas Stamp Set illustrated by Dustin Pike.

Clarence Christmas Stamp and Die Set illustrated by Dustin Pike, You've Been Framed - Layering Dies, Retro Christmas Paper Pack, Clear Sparkle Enamel Dots by The Rabbit Hole Designs #therabbitholedesignsllc #therabbitholedesigns #trhd

I started this card by using the largest die in the You've Been Framed - Layering Dies to die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Retro Christmas Paper Pack.  I then used the smallest frame die from the same set to die cut a piece of white cardstock.

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Clarence riding the train from the Clarence Christmas Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Clarence Christmas Stamp Set, directly onto the white cardstock in black pigment ink, and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together and using green glitter cardstock for the base.  I popped up the image with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glossy accents to Clarence's nose, and few Clear Sparkle Enamel Dots!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Clarence Christmas Stamp and Die Set illustrated by Dustin Pike, Retro Christmas Paper Pack by The Rabbit Hole Designs #therabbitholedesignsllc #therabbitholedesigns

To start this card I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Retro Christmas Paper Pack for my background.  I then die cut an oval out of white cardstock, splattered it with gold watercolor paint, and set it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Clarence on his train from the Clarence Christmas Stamp Set, illustrated by Dustin Pike, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

I die cut a gray sentiment banner, stamped the sentiment, which is from the Clarence Christmas Stamp Set, and white heat embossed.

I assembled my card using red glitter cardstock for the base, adhering the layers together, and popping up the image and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!

All Aboard the Peanut Express!

Whoo Whoooo!  ALL Aboard my crafty friends!  The Peanut Express is about to depart The Rabbit Hole Designs depot.

Clarence is so full of joy riding his Christmas train.  This image is from the Clarence Christmas stamp set (Illustrated by Dustin Pike). I paired it up with two of The Rabbit Hole Designs stencils; the Mesh-Optical stencil is used to create the Christmas tree and the Nutty 2 Layer stencil is used for the tree ornaments.

Let's have a look at the step tutorial...
A - Stamp the Clarence Train image on a piece of coloring cardstock and colored it with Olo alcohol markers. Cut out the  image and set aside for later.
B - Use paper masking tape to outline a Christmas tree on the Mesh-Optical stencil and position it on the right side of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of light blue/grey cardstock securing it with additional paper tape.
C, D, & E -  Select light, medium, and dark green inks to use with the Bitty Blending Brushes and  randomly stencil the tree opening with all three color.  Removed the stencil from the card front after stenciling.
F & G - Position the solid nut layer stencil from the Nutty 2 Layer stencil on top of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of kraft cardstock.  Select three inks (a light, medium, and dark) to stencil and shade the solid peanut.(I chose Fossilized Amber, Brushed Corduroy, and Ground Expresso Distress Oxides to color the solid nuts).
H - Removed the solid peanut stencil first layer and replace it with the gridded peanut 2nd layer stencil. Add a bit more color shading with the darkest ink of the three ink colors.
I - Use a palete knife and small bit of the gold (Slippery When Wet) Lunar Paste to add guilded highlights (only to the upper right area of the each nut. Remove the stencil and wipe it off immediately.  Use a heat gun to help dry the Lunar Paste quicker by gently blowing heat over the stenciled kraft paper to dry the nut. This should only take a few seconds.
J - Replace the gridded peanut 2nd layer stencil layer back over the kraft paper and the stenciled nut images. (This dies NOT have to line up perfectly.  Slightly off alignment is better)  Using a clean palette knife, add a layer of Transparent Grit Paste over the top of the peanut grid stencil. Remove the stencil and clean it off immediately. Let the peanuts dry. Once the nuts are dry, cut out 4 - 6 individual nuts and set them aside for later.
K - Use Speckled Egg ink and to add a Cottontail Blending Brush to inkbkend the sides of the card
L - Draw Clarence's train track at the bottom of the card front
M - Ink blend the bottom of the card with one of the darker blue inks. Grab four of the peanuts and the Clarence Train image to use to assembling the card front.
N - Treat the top left of the card front this the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool  and use your stamping tool to add the sentiment with VersaMark Watermark clear ink.Add and heat emboss the stamped sentiment with red embossing powder. Glue the card front to a red A2 card base. Glue the Clarence and his train on the left side of the card onto the drawn train track.  Select the placement of the four stenciled peanuts on the Christmas tree. Use double sided adhesive foam squares  behind the nuts and adhere each to the tree as shown in the photo above.

"Joy to the Squirrel"

Clarence is back and he is having a blast during our Christmas in July celebration! Of course, Clarence couldn't stop himself from playing with some snow and creating a snow-squirrel!  The Clarence Christmas set TRH-170 is a 4x6 set that includes three adorable and fun images of Clarence and two sentiments.

Clarence was colored using watercolors. He is such a fun character to color. I added some highlights and lowlights to the tail to make it look furry. I kept the colors to match the retro palette of reds and teals. The background is one of the layers of the Mid-Century Modern #2 Stencil used with TCW's Stencil Butter (Pearl White)

CAS Clarence Holiday Card

Hi! Today I have a clean and simple holiday card to share. This card features one of the fun images from the adorable new Clarence Christmas stamp set which is illustrated by Dustin Pike!

I started by stamping the Clarence image in black ink onto a white A2 sized (4.25x5.5") cardstock panel. Then I colored the image using my colored pencils and trimmed the panel using a dotted A2 sized rectangle die from my stash.

Next, stamped my sentiment onto an oval that I had created using a die from my stash. Then I stamped my sentiment onto the oval in black ink.

I had saved the scraps I had created from trimming and using The Retro Christmas papers. I was able to use a thin piece of striped patterned paper and adhered it to a wider strip of black paper. I then adhered the strip below Clarence and adhered the sentiment oval on top of that strip.

I adhered this panel onto a black cardstock panel and then onto an A2 sized (4.25x5.5") white cardstock panel to complete the card.

I love this clean and simple look! This stamp set is so fun to color too! I hope this card inspires you to get crafting!!

Joy to the Squirrel

Happy Friday yall!!!!  Tangii here, and I'm playing with some goodies from the July Release.  I inked up one of the images from Clarence Christmas and paired it up with the Mid Century Modern #2 stencil!

First off, I stamped Clarence, colored him with Copics and cut him out by hand.  Once done, I set him aside. Next up, I did some ink blending on my main panel with some red and green Oxide ink, using the Cotton Tail Blending Brushes.!

I used my heat gun to go over this panel to make sure those Oxides were good and dry then went over it with the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool so that my embossing powder would only stick where I wanted it! I first used Layer 1 of the Mid Century Modern #2 stencil, I layed it over my panel in a wonky angle (not square) and went over it with an Embossing ink dauber and heat embossed with some clear ep. Then I layed down Layer 3 of the stencil set (the smaller dots) and placed it at a different wonky angle, I wanted these dots in random places and not lined up with the first layer.  I went over this with the Embossing dauber and added some silver ep.  Finally I adhered Clarence and my sentiment
 with foam.

You can also read about this card on my blog, here with links to the products I used, etc.  Thanks for popping by, come back again soon!
