C-ant Before Coffee

Hello Rabbit Hole Designs Fans! Alison here! What did you think of the new release? Isn't it fabulous? Today, I have a card that features the ant from the Buggy for Caffeine stamp set. I bet we'll be seeing a lot of these bugs soon, because they are just so funny!
I always start by coloring my character/flower/etc, and then that helps me determine how the rest of the card will go. I colored him with Zig Clean Color Markers.
I found a scrap of an alcohol ink background that I made some time ago, plus some cool brown patterned paper that I thought mimicked the tunnels ants create. The card needed some shine, so I added some fun metallic washi tape as well.
I added a few additional details (of course I needed to add the chemical symbol for caffeine), and this card was done.
These new critters from the Buggy for Caffeine set really crack me up. I love that the ant not only is holding a pot of coffee, but two mugs as well! The new release is up and available at The Rabbit Hole Designs website. Below is the stamp set that I used.

Christmas Flower Card

The Rabbit Hole Designs Tattoo Christmas Die Cut Card

Hey crafty friend, it's Amanda from Pear Blossom Press again. I realize it's a little early to be making Christmas cards, but for some reason, the Old School Tattoo Affirmation set really inspires me. You may have seen the other Christmas card I made with it earlier this month (check it out here). I wanted to add the swallow to another card, but this time I wanted to add some layers and make it more 3D.

While this card might look like a lot more work, it was actually pretty easy. First, I stamped and Copic colored the swallow, then cut it out with a stitched circle die. Next, I die cut four stitched hearts from pattern paper. I used some of the same red Copic markers to add some shading to the hearts, and help the colors coordinate with my swallow. I used a large stylus to rub the hearts into the back foam pad of my Misti, to give them some curl and dimension. I fanned them out in a circle, and glued them together to form flower petals. Using foam tape, I adhered the swallow to the center, then I glued the flower to a kraft card base.

I die cut a few leaves from green pattern paper scraps, and a stitched strip that I stamped the word PEACE onto. Then, I added a smidge of color, again with my Copics. I nestled them under the flower petals and finished the card with a few red gems. By using pattern paper for the large die cut shapes, I was able to get a lot of color and texture, with minimal effort. It really helped me pull this card together quickly. And while it took a little more effort than a flat card, it would be pretty easy to make quite a few of these in an evening. Just remember to space your swallows out with enough room to cut the circles around them when you stamp them out. I've actually been stamping out sheets of images to color while I watch TV, or my favorite YouTubers, during the new 30 Day Coloring Challenge. It's very relaxing.

The Power of Love

Helly everyone, It's Lisa here with you today from Oh So Cute By Lisa with another card using one of the fabulous Old School Tattoo stamps from the April release.
This card features the Old School Tattoo - Affirmation stamp set and the Twisted Sunshine stencil.

I just love the bright color scheme on this card and the black background really makes everything pop off the page. I also love the pretty font that the sentiment is written in!
The focal image of the bird is so whimsical and I love the look of layering on 2 circle die cuts to really focus the attention on the detail and coloring.

Make sure to check out the rest of the April release at The Rabbit Hole Designs and stay tuned at the end of April for the awesome May release being launched!

The Power of You

Hello there!
Michelle here. Stopping by to share a slimline card I created using one of the newest stamp sets
from the Old School Tattoo line, Horseshoe.
Image may contain: possible text that says 'lucky charm You are my LUCK'
I stamped the image with antique linen distress ink than used Copic Markers to color.
I used colors: horseshoe: C2, C3, C5, W7
flower: RV55, RV66, RV69, RV99; Y26, Y28
banner: YR21, YR23, YR24
I fussy cut the shoehorse and set aside.

I trimmed the background white panel to 3 1/4 x 8 1/4. I used two stencils, Spell It Stencil and
Tattoo Icons Stencil. First I used the Spell It Stencil to spell the word 'luck'. I used the horseshoe to replace the letter 'u'. I chose distress oxide inks in shades antique linen, fossilized amber, and vintage photo. Next, I used the Tattoo Icons Stencil and only inked up the mini horseshoe part of the stencil. I used spun sugar and picked raspberry inks, than added some shading with RV34 and N3 Copic Markers. I added some paint splatters with white and gold paint.
No photo description available.

All embossing was done with black embossing powder.  I added two sentiments from the stamp set,
Old School Tattoo- Affirmation. I backed the panel onto gray cardstock than onto a card base that measures 3 1/2 x 8 1/2.
For a finishing touch I added shimmer with stickles glitter glue and scattered some sequins.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek!

Bright, Bold, and Lucky! - a charming card with coloring tutorial

Hello my crafty friend!  Today I am on the blog with my this Bright and Bold Lucky Charm card featuring the Tattoo Icon Stencil and the Old School Tattoo - Horseshoe stamp set.  I absolutely loved using these bold colors. I think it provides a wonderful bit of pop to this lucky card.

A -  I stamped out the horseshoe stamp in a dark blue ink
B -  I lined up the lucky charm sentiment in the banner of the horseshoe stamps and stamps it in black ink
C -  I chose a bright blue cardstock for the A2 card base, a lime green cardstock cut to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" for the 1st layer , and dark purple cardstock cut to 4" x 5 1/4"  to create the card front.  I use the Tattoo Icon stencil and silver ink on the purple card stock to create a stenciled background design using only the Horseshoe cut out on the stencil

D - I used double sided adhesive tape to attach the card base and two layers together
E -  I colored the horseshoe and fussy cut it out. You will find a coloring tutorial for the Horseshoe on my YouTube channel.  Using the nesting circles in my craft stash, I die cut 3 different  consecutive circle sizes in the same blue, lime green, and purple cardstock layers
F -  I used double sided adhesive tape too attach the 3 layered circles to each other as shown.  I used double sided adhesive foam squares to attach the horseshoe image to the circles
G - I attached the the Horseshoe to the lower right side of the card to finished it

I hope enjoyed the tutorial and coloring video for this bright and bold card. I loved using the bold colored cardstock.  I cannot wait to see what  you create with the Horseshoe stamp and Tattoo Icon stencil

Smile

Hi everyone!
Kelly here and I am sharing a card I made

I had a BLAST playing with this stencil.

For this card, I used the stencil three times with three different colored inks.
I rotated the stencil a bit after each color using that
first row of dots outside the center dot as my guide.
You can see that the colors overlap just a bit.
I decided to off-set the stencil for a unique look.

I die cut the word "smile" several times in orange and once in black.
I off-set the black to give a shadow.

I added a gem to the center of the stencil flower and mounted it on my base.

I hope that this stenciled background makes someone SMILE.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the new "Dotted Flower" stencil.
It certainly is fun to play with and is very versatile.
Take Care,
Kelly
