Have a Brilliant Fall Y'all!

Hello my crafty friends!  Jenn here with another bright and fun fall card featuring The Rabbit Hole Designs Jack of All Faces stamp set paired with a sentiment from the Fall Foxes stamp set.

TRHD Supply List

Supplies from my Stash
VersaMark Watermark ink
Black Embossing Powder
White Embossing Powder
Blue and Purple ink
Colored Pencils
I stamped the pumpkin with the witch hat using VersaMark Watermark ink on a piece of dark blue cardstock treated with the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool.  This treatment repels unwanted embossing power allowing the embossing powder to only stick to the stamped image. The images is heat embossed with black embossing powder and then colored with colored pencils.  The eye openings are cut with a craft knife and yellow cardstock is glued behind the image.  The image is fussy cut and a red flower is attached to the hat.
I added four crumpled autumn leaves to the bottom of the card front and added the pumpkin images to the front with adhesive foam tape. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of blue cardstock using VersaMark Watermark ink and heat embossed in white embossing powder.  It is cut to a strip and added to the cardftont with adhesive foam tape completing the card.

Thank you for stopping by to check out this Brilliant Autumn card created with The Rabbit Hole Designs' Jack of All Faces stamp set.  I hope you are inspired to create something lovely today!

Fall Color Palette Tips for Lovely Lilies

Hello and welcome back to The Rabbit Hole Designs Blog.  It's Rick here with you again today for another fun card making adventure.  Today I am sharing not one but two cards with you today using the Lovely Lilies Stamp Set and the Lovely Lilies Dies.   This fabulous stamp set was designed by Kelly Taylor or Kelly Taylor Cards.  The Reason I am sharing two cards with you today is because I wanted to take a minute and talk to you about the importance of color; and how color can change the mood or feel of a card design.

Choosing the right colors for your card design is like picking the perfect paint for a masterpiece. The colors you select have the power to convey emotions, set the mood, and leave a lasting impression on the recipient.

Gathering Inspiration:

To start your color journey, gather some inspiration. The Fall season is a goldmine for colors. The changing leaves, the warm and cozy ambiance – it's a perfect place to start. Take a walk outside and soak in the rich, earthy hues of the season. Collect fallen leaves, and you might just find your perfect color palette.

Lovely Lilies Fall Y'all Card by Rick Adkins

Speaking of inspiration, I once found a beautiful acorn in my backyard that had this incredible blend of deep browns, warm oranges, and a hint of soft lavender. It was my aha moment for a Fall-themed card. Sometimes, inspiration strikes when you least expect it.

Selecting Colors for Your Lovely Lilies Card:

Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty of selecting colors for your Lovely Lilies card. Start by taking a good look at the stamp set. The Lovely Lilies set has such intricate details, and I love how it perfectly captures the beauty of Fall flowers. Consider the elements you want to highlight in your design, and that should guide your color choices.

For me, this set screams Fall with its graceful lilies. I tend to lean towards rich, warm tones like deep oranges, golden yellows, and soft reds for this type of stamp. But you can also balance those warm hues with some cool shades to create contrast and make the design pop.

Color Combinations for Fall-themed Cards:

When it comes to Fall, there are a few classic color palettes that never fail to impress. Think about pairing warm browns with deep greens or soft purples with burnt oranges. It's like a warm, cozy sweater for your card. But don't be afraid to mix it up and add unexpected colors like teal or mauve – that's where the magic happens.

Tips for Experimentation:

Once you've got a few color ideas in mind, start experimenting. Create some color swatches and test out different combinations on scrap paper. Seeing the colors side by side can help you make the final decision. And, trust me, it's so satisfying when you find that perfect match!

I also love using color inspiration boards and tools. Pinterest is a treasure trove of color palettes, and it's a fantastic resource for exploring different combinations. You might stumble upon a palette you've never thought of before.

Examples of Fall-themed Lovely Lilies Cards:

To get your creative juices flowing, I've prepared some Lovely Lilies card designs with various color palettes. You'll see how each combination conveys a different mood and feel. So, take a look, and I hope it inspires you to embark on your own color adventure.

Therm O Web Collaboration: Fall is in the Air

Morning Friends!
Charmaine with CharCards on the Rabbit Hole Designs Blog!

This week we are teaming up with Therm O Web to showcase you some old and new products that we use in our products.
I am an Autumn baby so these gold Deco Foil and leafy designer toner sheets just spoke to me! I will link all my products used in the post.

Using my favorite Love you more stamp, I decided that they need a Fall background. This stamp set is available

Love You More Clear Stamp 4x6

Here is what I did:

** Switch on your laminator***
1. Stamp, cut and color the lovely couple. I used Copics.
3. Stamp the sentiment on yellowish paper, used
My Creative Time's sentiment strip for the stitched die
4. For the "Fall", I used Pinkfresh's Adore Alpha Die Set and craft foam. Cut another set out of yellow cardstock and another out of gold/ mirror card stock.
5. Glue the foam and cardstock with liquid adhesive. I used Gina K connect glue

6. Now for the fun background:
This clear Deco Foil Designer Toner Sheet, Endless Leaves, is GORGEOUS.
7. Pair it with ICraft Deco Foil Copper Cabre transfer sheet and run it through the laminator.
(Follow the directions of the packaging).
The Rabbit Hole has transfer sheets in stock as well. Click here.
8. Cut the leafy background down to your card size (4.25 x 5.5)
9. Adhere the leafy background to the card using Therm O Web tape runner. This will not show through the clear sheet. Amazing right???
10. Adhere all the elements onto the card and as a final touch, use the gold "shadow outline" from letters and adhere to the word Fall.
11. I used dimensional tape to adhere the sentiment

Hope you liked my card and all the elements I used from Therm O Web. These Clear designer Toner Sheets are amazing and very easy to work with. I hope you will give it a try!
