By The Shore Cards by Maria

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here with you.   I forgot to add these projects to my blog post on release day so I thought I'd share them with you.  For today's post, I am showcasing the By The Shore stamp set.

Here's my card using the stamp set:

Here's how I made the card:
  • stamp the image on Neenah solar white card stock and color the images in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice.
  • die-cut this colored piece using a polaroid die from my stash.
  • on another piece of A2 110 lb white card stock, use the Sun-rays embossing folder.
  • Assemble the card.

Here's a closer look:

And here's another card that I made using the set:

I stamped the image on an A2 size Neenah solar white card stock and colored the images in with Spectrum Noir markers.  I used my alcohol markers to create the sand.  Also used a clouds stencil to add the clouds on the background.

I stamped the sentiment on some piece of black card stock with Versamark ink and heat-set with my heating tool and adhered this piece on the card.

Here's a closer look:

Winners from the June Release Inspiration Hop ~ New Design Team Member

Good Morning,
Today we want to share some news with you all.  Shanna Slater was a customer from our very first release and she wasted no time creating some amazing projects using the stamps she purchased.  Shanna is the kind of crafter who is encouraging to everyone, she is always active on the Fan Page over on Facebook saying hello to all the new members.  We were so impressed with her projects and outgoing personality we reached out to her and invited her to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of May.  She happily said yes and set about creating even more projects and posting them to the Fan Page and all over her social media. Again the projects she created just floored us, we had to take a chance and ask her if she would be interested in a full time spot on our Design team. Guess what? She said Yes!

So we would like to officially welcome Shanna to the Design team as a permanent designer for The Rabbit Hole Designs. The June release starts her term with us and we hope you will enjoy her as much as we do. We are sure if you see her around the fan page she will always have a hello for you.

Take Life One Sip At a Time

Hello The Rabbit Hole Designs fans!  Maria here with you and it's my day to take over the TRHD blog.   For today's project, I am showcasing the Caffeinated Rabbit and the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

I have a cute and simple card for you today with one of my favorite caffeinated creature.

Here's how I made the card:
  • stamp the rabbit image on smooth white card stock and color the images in with alcohol markers (or any medium of your choice).
  • die-cut the image with an electronic die-cutting machine or fussy cut with scissors.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2.
  • cut an A2 size piece of smooth white card stock and use the solar burst stencil and a blending brush with Tattered Rose distress oxide ink and antique linen to add color to the background.
  • use the "hello" die to die-cut the word from the background.
  • adhere some fun foam to the back of the card stock and adhere this piece onto a chocolate brown card base.
  • line up the negative pieces of the die-cut and adhere using liquid glue.
  • adhere the bunny on top of the "hello" using liquid glue.
  • finish the design by adding the sentiment from the Perfectly Blended stamp set.

Here's a closer look:

Another simple card but I really love how it turned out.  If you are looking for further details about my project including supplies used, I would be so grateful if you can stop by my blog today at:

I hope you like my card and got inspired.  Have an amazing day and happy crafting!

Personalized Anniversary Card

Hello, everyone! It's Lynnea Hollendonner and I used the Happily Ever After stamp set to create an anniversary card for someone very special to me - my husband!! I wanted to make him a simple card that would remind him of our own wedding. Our wedding colors were sunflower yellow and chocolate chip brown, so I played off of that to create an anniversary card for him.

How - To

  • Start by blending a portion of a piece of white cardstock with yellow inks from dark on the left to light on the right.
  • Stamp and white heat emboss hearts from the Happily Ever After stamp set over the yellow ink and color with plain water for a subtle bleaching effect.
  • Cut a diagonal strip out of the center of a second piece of white cardstock and mount on top of the ink blended panel with fun foam.
  • Stamp sentiment from the Happily Ever After stamp set

What's great about this card is that you can customize the colors to fit anyone's tastes! And it doesn't have to be just for weddings or anniversaries! You can definitely give this to a friend as well! Thanks for joining me! See you soon!

Perfectly Blended by Martha Lucia

Hi there! Martha Lucia here with you!
This is a fun card that I made to show you how versatile can be the Perfectly Blended stamp set

The base and layer of this card is very vanilla card stock and I pasted behind of the second layer a entire piece of foam to make it more strong. I used the blow out technique and if you are not familiar with this technique, it is really easy. You only need to use your different colors of refill inks, apply the drops of ink over the card stock and blow out to let the ink move freely.

When the ink is totally dry, you can create more forms. In my sample, I just added some lines and dots with a gold pen and stamped in several places the chemical formula stamps that is included on some of the Caffeinated images.

I also stamped one of the funny sentiments included on the Perfectly Blended stamp set over a piece of very vanilla card stock and mat the sentiment with a contrast color.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
See you soon,

Martha Lucia

Foxy Dad-isms

Hello again!  Shanna here from Caffeinated Craftiness again to share a fabulous Father's Day card using The Rabbit Hole Design's slightly cranky, under-caffeinated, just waking up Caffeinated Fox! I really wanted to use this guy for a Father's Day card for my husband, and the Sassy Sentiments paired perfectly with him for a "dad-ism" card.  My favorite is "Here, hold my beer".  I picked my favorites and stamped directly onto my coffee sleeve after dry embossing with a striped folder.  Sooo many to pick from, but I narrowed it down to the 4 that reminded me most of him.

The coffee-shaped card was die-cut, then after fussy cutting my Caffeinated Fox, I mounted him directly onto the sleeve so he can slide off and the card can open.  He was watercolored using my Zig real brush markers on Canson Mixed Media paper. I chose to paper-piece his robe with a small print I had in my scraps though, I like how it looks like a pattered fabric! Add "#1 Dad" to the mug and Voila! I plan on inserting a gift card or two inside for a sweet little gift from me and the kids.  That along with his favorite meal, and we will have a successful Father's Day in the books!

Well, that's all for today.. Guest Designing for The Rabbit Hole Designs has been a ton of fun this month for such a fresh, fun company...Thanks for stopping by!  If you would like to follow along with my caffeinated adventures, stop by my blog here and say hi!

Hop To It- with Katie

Hello peeps!   It's Katie, back today to share one more bunny card.  I really can't get enough of her, she is too sweet!

She just melts my heart!  I love that she is out there playing with her butterfly friends, enjoying nature.

Here is how I did it:

  • Used a stencil and distress inks to create the cloud and grass background.  Die cut to the smaller square shape.
  • Stamped and colored the bunny from the Easter Bounty set with my Copics.  Die cut and set aside.
  • Die cut the fence and grass dies and placed in the scene. Placed the bunny on top.
  • Die cut rainbow of butterflies and added them to the scene with some pearl embellishments.

Pretty easy peasy right!?

That is all I have for you today.  I hope you have enjoyed this fun and fairly simple spring card.

You are welcome to stop by my blog to see the full list of supplies I used.

Tropical Vibes Rocker Card

Hello my crafty friends, it's Amanda from Pear Blossom Press again. Today I'm sharing a rocker card with an extra surprise; there's a pendulum hanging under the Caffeinated Shark, so he sways on the tide as the card rocks.

This is the second card I designed to teach at the Unstoppable Retreat in Seattle this past weekend. (You can find the first one here.) The plan was to film it live, so you'd be able to watch us craft in real time and make one with us if you'd like. Unfortunately, we ran long with the first card and didn't get to do this one together. I passed out kits for this card to all of the attendees and I shot a quick video in my hotel room after. My apologies for the lighting and such; it's so hard to find a hotel that offers a full service filming studio ;)

For this card, you'll need the following stamps and dies (head on over to my blog for links to specific products):
  • Caffeinated Shark Stamp Set
  • Nesting Circle Dies (5½", 1¼", and ¾")
  • Stitched Wave Border Dies
  • Stitched Hillside Border Dies
  • Tropical Dies
  • Scalloped Circle Dies
You will also need a strip of paper that measures ¼" x 2½" and a penny to create the pendulum. The hardest part was die cutting all of the pieces. Which, to be honest, isn't actually hard, just time consuming. Especially, when you are cutting for 30 cards. I'd really like to thank the awesome ladies that sat around the dining room table with me the night before class and helped me finish cutting the pieces, Alison, Robin, Ernylee, Rachel, and Brianne, you ladies are fabulous!!!

I have to take a second to gush a little about the retreat...it was so much fun! I got to meet several of my online friends in person, and a whole new group of amazing ladies that I now get to call friends too! We were in a gorgeous setting and had a wonderful time crafting, chatting, laughing, and forging new friendships. We shared great meals and silly jokes all day, and funny stories and cocktails all night. I can't wait to do it again next year! A great big thanks to Beth Duff for organizing the retreat, and The Rabbit Hole Designs for being one of the generous sponsors. I was so happy to show off some of their fun stamps in my class!

Thanks for stopping by today; I'll be back again soon with another fun card for you!

Jellyfish Thank You

Welcome back to the blog Rabbit Hole fans!
It's Lisa back again today to bring you a Thank You card using the
Sofishticated stamp set. I just love the Jellyfish stamp from this set.
It has such beautiful intricacies in the main body and tail and
I think it looks very elegant when heat embossed in gold.

I started by doing some ink blending with several colors of
distress inks. I used Twisted Citron, Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade,
and Salty Ocean. After all of the blending I sprayed some water droplets
for a more distressed look.  I also sprayed some homemade glimmer mist
for some extra shine. The camera doesn't pick that up very well.
I made sure to use my anti-static tool over the ink blending to I could
heat emboss without making a mess.  I stamped the Jellyfish stamp
in clear Versamark ink and then sprinkled gold embossing powder
over it. I used my heat gun to melt the powder and I just love the results!
I also added a gold frame with foil card stock to finish off the edges.
The Thank You sentiment was cut with the same gold foil as the frame and
I added some blue jewels for some added interest and sparkle.

I love how this card came out, the ink blending was the perfect background
for this whimsical Jellyfish and the gold accents are so elegant.

Have a great day, I already am!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Good morning Rabbit Hole fans, I hope you're having a good week!
It just so happens that today is my 50th birthday so I thought it only
appropriate to make a birthday card.
I thought it would be fun to incorporate a bunch of the caffeinated
critters on my card.  Putting party hats on their heads just made
me laugh since they don't look like they are in a party mood.
It's been a rough week for me so it's kind of appropriate that these
guys aren't smiling.
All in all though I really like how the card came out, the rainbow
letters really stand out against the black and white background.
Here is a list of all the caffeinated critters used on my card:

Thanks for joining me today for my birthday, I hope you enjoyed
my card, these caffeinated critters really can be used for any
type of card you want to make..... just change up your sentiment.

Have a great day, I already am!
