Bon Voyage!

Hello, my crafty friends! Today I have a super sweet card using the Adventure Awaits Stamp & Coordinating die set. This set is fantastic for that perfect going away card!

For the coloring of the bunny I used warm grey alcohol markers and I really wanted the camera to stand out just a bit from the bunny but I didn't want to use a black since they can be tricky and you can lose some of the details. Once the ink was dry enough I used glossy accents to give the lens a pop.

To create the background I pulled out one of my stitched hill dies and added rustic wilderness along with twisted citron to add a little dimension to the hills, for the sky I took tumbled glass and just picked a few spots to add a bit of color.

                                                    Adventure Awaits 4x6 Stamp Set

Bunny On The Go!

Hi everyone! Lauren here on the blog with this bunny who is hurrying to deliver his basketful of cheery spring flowers! I think we are all ready for some beautiful flowers to arrive! This is an easy interactive card that doesn't require any special tools to create.

To create this A2 (5.5x 4.25") card, I used the adorable new Spring Delivery set and Clouds in my Coffee stencil.

I started out with my background. First, I created a hill by cutting a slope from a piece of copy paper. I then secured it over a white card panel, that was a little smaller than an A2 card, at my desired height.

I sprayed the back of the separate clouds from the Clouds in my Coffee stencil the placed them on the panel where I cant the white clouds to be. Then I lightly blended a bit of Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink over the clouds and down to where the copy paper hill begins.

Next, I secured the other part of the paper with the hill shape I had cut. I secured that over the blue sky down to where the hill will begin. I also secured a straight piece of paper over the bottom of the panel where I wanted to create a road for this little guy to drive on. I then blended Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink to make the hill. I colored the road using Prisma color pencils in Cool Grays.

After that, I stamped the Scooter riding bunny onto white cardstock using fade away ink. I used Prisma Color pencils to color him up, then die cut him out. The colors I used were:
Scooter: Hot pink, Process Red, Pomegranate
Tires: all the cool grays, Black, White, Silver
    Steering wheel: 20%, 50%, 70% cool Gray
Flowers: Lemon Yellow, Canary Yellow, Spanish Orange
    Leaves: Spring Green, Apple Green
    Basket: Seashell Pink, Eggshell
    Bunny: 10% Warm Gray, 20%, 30%, 50% and 70% French Gray
    Ears: Pink, Hot Pink

Next I created the interactive aspect of the card. Using a craft knife an ruler, I cut a line along the road from where the front tire will be to where I want the front tire to stop.

I then cut a strip of white cardstock approximately .25" wide and longer than the slit I cut in the panel so that there would be extra extending past the panel itself.

I cut a strip of acetate and adhered it to the white strip I created. Then, from the back I fed the strip through the slit so that the portion that was not connected was now laying on the front of the panel. I adhered the front tire of the scooter to the acetate strip.

I figured out where on the card the bunny would be at rest then stamped the sentiment underneath so it wouldn't show until the bunny moved. I also stamped the word Pull onto my strip and trimmed the end.

I turned the panel over and added double sided foam tape all over the back. I used thin foam tape under the slide and a strip over the top to create a trough for the strip to slide through.

I removed all the foam tape backing and placed it onto a black A2 sized cardstock panel. Then I adhered that onto my A2 card base.

That completes this cute bunny who is on a flower delivering mission! Thanks for stopping by! Lauren.

Vacation Vibes

Anyone else miss traveling? I do! Amanda from Pear Blossom Press here again, with a mini-slimline that's full of vacation vibes and is ready to be shipped off on an adventure...

I stamped the cute little suitcase bunny from Adventure Awaits on a 3" x 6" panel in Warm Glow ink and no-line Copic colored him. For the background, I drew in a simple hardwood floor, baseboard, and a pale yellow wall. Using a gold gel pen, I drew in lines and circles to create the pattern in the wallpaper. It reminds me of a tropical hotel.

To pull the card together, I heat embossed the sentiment with white powder and mounted the panel on a 3¼" x 6¼" kraft card base. A few gold gems finish the card and add more shimmer. Easy peasy, and ready for an adventure!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you're feeling vacation vibes too, I hope you'll give this card a try. I'll be back soon with another fun card to share. Until then, find me on my blog... pearblossompress.com

Hello Brew-tiful!

Hey yall!  Happy Wednesday!!  Tangii here and I'm inking up the Spring Coffee set (to be released later this month!), it's a special peek for the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog hop!  For this card I made it simple and clean, letting the coloring and the gorgeous image take center stage!

I colored up all of those beautiful flowers in pinks and very pale oranges.  I wanted the cup to "pop" a little and couldn't decide on how to color or which color to choose so I paper pieced it.  If you look closely, the front flowers are in front of the cup and there are a couple of leaf sprigs behind it, so I cut along the flowers and slipped my paper pieced mug behind them.  I love how this turned out!  I die cut a "hello" and popped it up. I am so in LOVE with this image and the way this turned out!  Thanks for popping by!

The Spring Coffee stamp set will be available next week along with the April Release at The Rabbit Hole Designs.

You can also read about this card on my blog, here with links to the products I used, etc.  Thanks for popping by, come back again soon!

A Brew-ti-ful Sneak Peek

Hi Rabbit Hole Friends, I hope you're having a fabulous day!  Joy, here sharing a full  sneak peek of the new Spring Coffee stamp set, that will be available with the new release on March 29th!! If you're anything like me, coffee is a must, and flowers are bonus!

It's not going to be a real shock to anyone that I broke out my Copics for this stunning image illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats. I chose simple Spring like blends for the florals, and kept the coffee sweet and creamy!

Instead of using patterned paper, I chose to make my own background. Using a persimmon colored card stock from my stash I applied an iridescent glaze through the Open Heart stencil to create this subtle background.

After the panel was completely dried I trimmed it down to 5x5 inches and matted it with a thin black trim. My card base measures 11 x 5.5 inches scored down the middle leaving a thick white border around the card. I find that images pop when you leave a bold white border. For the final touches, I added a few gems from my stash because you can never have enough sparkle.

I had so much fun creating this card, and I hope it inspires you to create something special today!  Remember on March 29th this stamp will be available for purchase. You can follow the link HERE to see the entire line from The Rabbit Hole Designs.

I think that wraps it for me!  You can always find me on my blog,  JoyWilsonInk.

Bye for now!!!

A Brew-ti-ful Morning

Hello my crafty friends!  Welcome to The Rabbit Hole Designs blog.  You get a full sneak peak of the at one of the new upcoming April releases, but you will have to be patient and wait until March 29th to grab this gorgeous Spring Coffee stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. We are sharing this as part of the FB Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I love the new designs featuring the art of Tatsiana.  The florals pair up beautifully with this morning cup!

I stamped the image in Almond Cream Nuvo Hybrid ink.  It is a lighter brown and a great choice to use for soft-line coloring with either alcohol markers or a watercolor medium.  I use a combination of  Triblend and Copic alcohol markers to color the image.  I look at photographs of flowers on Google looking for a four petal flower. I chose one I like in the lavender and purple colors.  It is all about layering and blending when you are using alcohol markers.  The sentiment is a simple play on words "You're brew-ti-ful"

I hope you enjoyed this "A Brew-ti-ful Morning" single layer card featuring Spring Coffee stamp set by The Rabbit Hole Designs.  Make sure to stop by Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to see additional projects featuring the Spring Coffee stamp set! Don't forget to mark your calendar for Mar 29th to grab this stamp set!
