Waddle On, It's Christmas Time!

Hi crafty friends! Carrianne here, sharing a flippin' fun Christmas card featuring the Penguining Stamp Set and coordinating dies from The Rabbit Hole Designs.

I stamped and die-cut the images from the Penguining stamp set. I colored them with alcohol markers. I blended blue ink onto a white panel to create soft, snowy hills and used the largest frame from the You've Been Framed Layering Dies and adhered it to an A2 blue card base.

I stamped the sentiment on purple cardstock and die-cut it using the sentiment strips included in the You've Been Framed Layering Dies. I adhered the images and sentiment with foam tape for added dimension. Silver sequins added a finishing touch to the card.

Thanks for dropping in. Have a PENG-tastic day!!

White Christmas

Hello! It's Lauren here on the blog with this pretty, white poinsettia Christmas card I created using the Poinsettia & Pinecones stamp set.

I started out by stamping the poinsettia image a few times in fade out ink onto kraft cardstock measuring 4 x 5.5". Then coloring them up using my colored pencils.

Next, I Added some white splatter using Titanium White Acrylic paint that I thinned a bit with water.

While my splatters were drying, I stamped (in white ink) and die cut my sentiment from the same stamp set. I also die cut a sentiment blank from white cardstock and adhered it (offset) to the stamped sentiment.

I adhered my sentiment to my colored panel then adhered the panel to a white, Top Folding A2 sized (4.25x5.5) card base to finish my card.

I hope I've given you some holiday crafting inspiration today. Thanks for visiting!

Poinsettia Holiday Decor and More

Hello my crafty friends! It is time to take a look back at a lovely 3D paper project I made using the Poinsettia and Pinecone stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs.

The Poinsettia and Pinecone stamp set is illustrated exclusively by Kelly Taylor for The Rabbit Hole Designs. It is large 6 x 8 stamp set with a gorgeous main image using both Poinsettia and pines along with individual images of both and sentiments. The coordinating die set cuts the images beautifully.

It is easy to adapt your stamping and praper crafting to something more than a card.  Here we have used the Poinsettia and Pinecone stamp set to create a 3D wreath.

I stamped and colored seven of the single Poinsettia images and six of the pine boughs images with OLO Markers. They are die cut with the coordinating die set.

I cut a large circle from a cardboard box and cut out a smaller center circle creating a donut or hoop shape to support the wreath. I tied a length of red ribbon around the wreath (adding a bow at the top) creating a way to hang it when finished.

I arranged the flowers on the wreath base and filled in the extra openings with the pine sprigs. The pine sprigs are cut into two pieces to use as filler.

Once I had an arrangement I liked, I attached the pieces in place with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares.
I used white gold water color and gently added a bit of splatter to the wreath. The wreath can be hung on a door or even used flat for a holiday center piece. Just add a candle or other deco to the center with the floral wreath surrounding it.

Rainbow Birthday Presents

Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog. Today's card features the Baby's 1st Christmas 4x6 stamp set along with its coordinating dies. This set may be called Baby's 1st Christmas but it is really a versatile set that can be used year-round for many occasions. Today I used the presents image from the set to create a birthday card.

Card details:
  • Die-cut the smallest frame from You've Been Framed dies on lime green cardstock. Cut a smaller rectangle (3.5" x 2") from rainbow patterned paper and layer on top of the lime green panel. Cut a larger rectangle from rainbow patterned paper (5.25" x 4") and layer behind the lime green panel. Use foam tape on the lime green panel to add dimension.
  • Stamp the presents image from the Baby's 1st Christmas 4x6 stamp set with an alcohol-friendly black ink on white cardstock and color with alcohol markers. Because I chose a brightly patterned paper for the background, I kept the coloring very simple with only some light gray shading. Die-cut the presents image with the coordinating dies. Adhere with foam tape to add dimension.
  • Stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Sentimentally Speaking stamp set and die-cut with its coordinating die. Adhere it on the patterned paper underneath the presents die-cut.
  • Adhere entire panel to an A2 sized card base and add Wink of Stella silver glitter pen highlights to the presents image to finish card.
