Holly Jolly Wishes

Hi friends. Carrianne here sharing more Christmas inspiration with the 1 Line Holly Stamp Set.

I started with a white panel and stamped the image twice, one below the other. Next, I colored the image with alcohol markers. I then stamped the sentiment, using masking tape to break it up.

I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5 1/4 and adhered it to a red mat, which was then attached to an A2 white card base. I finished the card by adding red sequins for that perfect festive touch.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope your day is as Holly as can be!

Reindeer Shaker Fun

Hi friends! Carrianne here! I've got a fun reindeer shaker card to share with you today on the blog featuring the 1 Line Reindeer Stamp Set.

I started with an A2 size white panel and stamped the image in the center. After coloring the image with alcohol markers, I added a winter scene behind it and added snow with a white gel pen.

Next, I layered another panel on top and used a stitched circle die in the center to create the shaker window. I adhered acetate to the back with liquid adhesive, then stamped the sentiment in black ink onto the panel. To add dimension, I used two layers of foam tape. I filled the shaker window with a mix of blue sequins and carefully placed the top panel over the image to seal it all together and complete the shaker effect.

For added sparkle, I added clear iridescent sequins to the front of the card.

Thanks for shaking up some time to visit! I hope you have a DEER-lightful day.

Merry Snowperson

Hello friends! Welcome back to the blog. Today's card features the 1 Line Snowperson 2x6 stamp set along with a sentiment from Poinsettia & Pinecones 6x8 stamp set.

Card details:
  • Stamp the image from the 1 Line Snowperson 2x6 stamp set with an alcohol-friendly black ink on a white cardstock. Die-cut with a circle die.
  • Create a snowperson mask. I stamped the image on masking paper and fussy cut the snowperson out. I didn't worry about masking the twig arms.
  • Mask the snowperson and the area below the snowperson. I used Post-It tape for the area below. Blend light purple around the snowman to create a halo effect.
  • Remove masks and color image with alcohol markers.
  • Die-cut the largest frame from You've Been Framed dies on blue cardstock. Blend the blue panel with Candy Twist Stencil with light purple ink.
  • Trim a half-inch strip from light purple cardstock. Line up the strip with the "groundline" on the stamped image. Attach both to the blue panel.
  • Stamp the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from Poinsettia & Pinecones 6x8 stamp set with navy ink on light purple cardstock and die-cut with its coordinating dies. Adhere sentiment underneath the snowperson circle.
  • Adhere the panel to an A2 vertical card base.
  • Add bling to finish off the card.

Thanks for visiting!

Little Reindeer Shaker Tag/Ornament

Hello crafty friends!  Jenn here with an easy shaker ornament featuring the One-Line Reindeer stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs

This is such a fun project.. You likely have a set of nesting die in your craft stash to use to create a shaker base for our Christmas ornament.

Let me share the quick step tutorial:
Stamp the image of the One-Line Reindeer using brown ink on to a piece of mini corrugated kraft cardstock.  Shaded the image with OLO markers and color the nose red. Added a few highlights with a white gel pen and use detail scissors to fussy cut the Reindeer.

To make the shaker base, you need two of your nesting dies.  I choose the size I want for the ornament and die cut an ornament back from a specialty paper like a matte silver lava cardstock and a second shape from a piece of clear acetate for the shaker window.

Choose a second nesting die, one that will fit inside the first one, to make a window frame. Make sure the two dies leave at least a 1/4" to 3/8" frame thickness when nested together.  Use both dies to die cut togeter when die cutting a frame from white glitterstock.  You should have a window frame and the smaller inside shape. Set the smaller shape aside for later.

Assemble that shaker by gluing the clear acetate shape to the back of the glitterstock window frame. On the back side, create the shaker window well by adding double thick adhesive foam strips around the outer edge of backside of the window frame. The foam strips should be edge to edge around the ornament frame leaving no gaps. Add shaker bits to the window well.  Remove  the release paper from the foam tape and attach the silver matte lava stock ornament back (face down) back of the ornament frame locking the shaker bits inside.

Turn over the ornament and you have your shaker base. Add the One-Line Reindeer to the front (over the frame and window as shown above) with foam tape. Then the ornament over to the back side and glue the ends of a ribbon loop to the ornament.  Grab the smaller glitterstock shape (from inside of the die cut frame) and glue it to the back of the ornament to secure the ribbon loops in place. Stamp and fussy cut the Merry Christmas sentiment to add to the back of the shaker ornament.  This shaker could also be used as a gift tag.
