Keep Calm and Carrion - Whimsy Caffeinated Slimline Card

Hello my crafty friends!  You know I love the Rabbit Hole Designs' caffeinated critters and the Caffeinated Vulture does not disapoint.  I gave him an over glazed look, like he is waiting for the caffeine to kick in!

The background is ink blended using Distress Oxide inks; Wilted Violet, Kisch Flamingo and Carved Pumpkin.  The moon was created by masked off an area with piece of masking paper cut into a circle.  The vulture is colored with Copic alcohol markers.
The treeline is created with a stamp set form my stash and black tree ink is blended at the bottom of the slimline.  I gave the background a couple of hours to dry before I used the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool to treat and prep the bottom of the card.  I stamped the sentiment "keep calm and carrion" with VersaMark Watermark ink and added white heat embossing powder and heat set it.  This backgound layer is attached to a dark purple cardstock layer and then to an Slimline card base measuring 3 1/2" by 8 1/2"  folded.  The Vulture image was adde last using adhesive foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed this whimsy Keep Calm and Carrion slimline card. I think this Vulture is fantastic!  What is your favorite new caffeinated critter?

Better Latte than never

Hey y'all!  Happy, happy weekend!! Tangii here with another goodie from the November release.  For today's share I made a gift tag with the Caffeinated Llama, the coordinating die and a sentiment from the Blended Sentiments 2 set.
This tag was simple.  This is one of those times when I really appreciate coordinating dies!  They make something like this tag so much quicker and easier to put together!  I stamped, colored and die cut my Llama. Added a sentiment, a few enamel dots and some ribbon... voila!

You can also read about this card on my blog, here with links to the products I used, etc.  Thanks for popping by, come back again soon!

Monday already?

It's the Mondayest Thursday..... need more coffee!!  Hello there!  Vanessa here!  I'm excited to share with you this card I created pairing up the Caffeinated Rhino with the newly released Caffeinated Ostrich.  The caffeinated critters are my favorite, so if you're a collector like me.... they go well together!

This is a quick and easy one layer card.  I masked off the critters to ink my background, then colored them with colored pencils and gamsol (I mask first, then color main images in case I mess up). I then layered onto blue cardstock, and then onto a black A2 card base.  Is peasy and ready to give to a friend to brighten their day; I bet they laugh!

Have a great Mon...er... Thursday!!

Hello! HOW YOU DOIN'?

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Today I have not only used the NEW Caffeinated Koala stamp set, but I have paired him with the Cat Eye 6x6 Stencil and the Hello - Scripty Word with Shadow Layer Dies with a dash of foil!

When I'm coming up with card ideas I always start with a color story and I knew I wanted to use different shades of purple. It is not a color I use very often so I wanted to keep it light in not only my coloring but the background as well.

For the Caffeinated Koala, I grabbed a few of my favorite Zig greys and tested a few of the purple shades because I wanted a contrast in his robe and slippers.

I tend to have a few favorites when it comes to stencils and the Cat Eye 6x6 Stencil is in that top favorites, there are so many color combos you can use with it. I only used 1 color to blend with.

For the sentiment, I used the HOW YOU DOIN'? from the Hello - Scripty 3x4. It may be my favorite sentiment from the Stamp from that set! I love mixing and matching my supplies and love how this card turned out.
